My article about loving the free Keihan Limited Express has surpassed the official website [100 random stories about Keihan]
Recently, the view count has been increasing at an unusually fast pace.
I am naturally happy about it, but the reason is an old article about the Keihan Limited Express that I wrote a year and a half ago, right at the beginning of my note, which didn't even have that many likes. What on earth is going on?
The discovery started with a "feeling that something was off"
I felt something was off when I suddenly checked the access status. The top rankings hadn't changed, but have Keihan articles always been read this much?

For those outside the Kansai region, Keihan Electric Railway is one of the major private railways in Kansai, with its main lines running between Osaka and Kyoto.
However, it is not as well-known as other major Kansai private railways like Hankyu or Hanshin. Why is it so popular now... (This is just my personal opinion).
I will compare it with the 150,000 view mark from three months ago at the end of July.

1st place: Kamo Aquarium (+79)
2nd place: Keihan Limited Express (+2,906)
3rd place: Dangan Ferry (+1,063)
Kamo Aquarium is located in Yamagata, which is difficult to access, so it is not that well-known to the general public. Even so, the difference in view counts is clear, at over 35 times.
Personally, I think 30 views or more per day for a single article is quite a significant scale. It will likely only be a matter of time before it overtakes Kamo Aquarium, which was the number one article on this note.
Looking into it again, it seems the Dangan Ferry article is also being read quite a bit. Even though it is one-third of the Keihan Limited Express, it is quite a lot considering it was written over a year ago.
By the way, I wrote the Keihan Limited Express article even earlier, over a year and a half ago in April 2024, at the very beginning. What is this...?
Higher than the official website in Google search
Looking closely, the views are +2,900 but the likes are +4. This is likely because there are many visitors from outside of note (people outside of note don't go out of their way to like).
I was suddenly curious, so I checked "Keihan Limited Express free" on Chrome without any browsing history, and the reason was immediately clear.

My article is displayed above the Keihan Electric Railway official website.
Are you kidding me...?
This is quite a surprise. I knew that note was strong in SEO, but to beat the original source is something else.
It doesn't appear at all when I change the keywords, so it is only being read by people who want to know if the "Keihan Limited Express" is "free". Also, the ranking changes depending on the browser, but it still appeared on the first page.
Was my "Keihan love" recognized?
This is an article from last month, shortly after it started in March '24, but was my overflowing love for Keihan recognized? (As if).
In the article, I touch upon the all-too-unique announcements at Hirakata Park, known as 'Hira-pa' along the Keihan line, and the 'Super Hira-pa Brother,' former V6 member Junichi Okada, but I don't even come close with those keywords.
Admittedly, the title includes '0 yen extra, free,' so it's easy to understand, but I wonder if people actually click on it. The mystery only deepens...
The 100th time writing about nothing but trivial things
Thanks to you all, this 'trivial stories' series has reached its 100th entry with this article.
Every single time, I only write 'trivial stories' just as the title suggests.
With so many articles about AI side hustles and know-how out there, I am truly grateful that you make the time to read this, even though it doesn't earn a single yen.
I intend to keep writing 'trivial stories' that AI cannot write, so I hope for your continued support m(_ _)m
