Tsundere Fairy Tales (12): The Tsundere Millionaire
Once upon a time, in a certain place, there lived a girl who had completely adopted a prickly attitude. Her name was "Tsun," and even when someone was kind to her, she couldn't thank them honestly, saying, "It's not like I'm happy about it or anything!"
One day, Tsun heard a strange rumor in town that said, "You can become a millionaire by being a tsundere."
While she scoffed, thinking, "Hmph, it's probably just some nonsense," she couldn't help but be curious. So, Tsun decided to set out on a journey, telling herself, "Well, I guess I'll go just to kill some time."

During her journey, she found a mysterious old woman sitting by the side of the road. As soon as the old woman saw Tsun, she called out, "Oh my, young lady. That prickly attitude of yours—why don't you try adding a little 'dere' to it?"
Tsun brushed her off, saying, "Mind your own business!" but the old woman just smiled and offered her a single 'dere candy,' saying, "Come now, try licking this dere candy just once."
When Tsun put the dere candy in her mouth, half-doubting, she felt her heart strangely warm up, and she found herself smiling at a passing puppy and saying, "You're so cute."
Tsun was surprised by her own change, but the people who saw her smile began to treat her with kindness one after another.
The owner of an eyeglass shop said, "I have the perfect glasses for that smile," and gifted her a pair of magical moe glasses.
Furthermore, when she helped an elderly man who loved glasses and was lost, he even gave her gold coins, saying, "Thank you, you saved me."
"I-it's not like I wanted to help you or anything!" Tsun said, looking embarrassed, but she gradually began to feel the value of the power of 'dere.'
In this way, thanks to people's goodwill and bartering, she eventually came to own a large mansion.
However, one night, she was lost in thought all alone inside her luxurious mansion.
"I... I feel like something is missing..."
Although she had certainly gained wealth, she couldn't help but feel as though she had lost her true self.
At that moment, it suddenly dawned on Tsun.
"It's not good to have just one or the other, 'tsun' or 'dere.' What's important is the balance between the two."
From the next day on, while valuing her own personality, Tsun began to act as a tsundere with honest feelings.
People called her the "Tsundere Millionaire," and her exquisite way of interacting became the talk of the town.
Tsun's story came to be passed down with both laughter and a lesson.
The end.
Moral: While it is important to be yourself, you might find true happiness by expressing your honest feelings.
#WhatIsThisStoryAbout
I ended up writing this 'Tsundere Millionaire' after re-reading Kuromu-san's 'Cinderella vs. Straw Millionaire: 3 Differences in Thinking.' For some reason, this Tsundere Fairy Tale seems to have completely captured the heart of a woman named Sabrina. I feel like I have to write a sequel, too.
Moreover, I wonder if Tsun could have imagined such a future awaiting her before she set out on her journey? It is truly a mysterious thing. This story even connects to philosophical questions about whether the future is predetermined or not.
For instance, there is the question: 'Did the threads of fate weave together because Tsun went on a journey, or was that fate decided from the very beginning?' If we start thinking about such things, we might just find ourselves getting lost in the depths of it all.
However, what this story teaches us is that regardless of whether the future is predetermined or not, the path you choose for yourself is what matters. By living as the Tsundere Millionaire, Tsun found her own true happiness.
And as people passed down Tsun's story, they were able to remember the balance of 'tsun' and 'dere' within themselves, feeling a warm glow in their hearts.
The end.
Further moral: We never know what the future holds, but how we live in this very moment is what is essential.
