[My First Vibe Coding] I used Antigravity to build the 'Ten People, Ten Colors' project website!

Does everyone know what 'vibe coding' is?

If you work with AI, you've probably heard the term before.

Even with AIs like ChatGPT or Gemini, you can generate code or prompts, but it requires manual work like copying and pasting by the human.

With Antigravity, that kind of work becomes unnecessary, and the
final product is completed just by giving instructions and checking the results.

Also, unlike those AIs where you give instructions through a web interface or app, the work is performed by an AI agent installed on your PC.

While results in a chat can get lost over time unless you manually save them, in vibe coding, they are accumulated in a created folder, which
makes it easy to understand and gives it high asset value.

I've said a lot, but the point is

Even if you can't program, you can create all sorts of things just by giving instructions to an AI!

It's an amazing era we live in.

So, about that vibe coding.
Actually, I 'It seems difficult,' or 'It's probably not for me'—that's what I thought, so I avoided it.

But I was curious, and since it was often being talked about on social media and elsewhere, I decided to give it a try just to see what it was like.

And what I ended up with was the 'Ten People, Ten Colors' project website.

It's a simple site, but this is the result of vibe coding from scratch.

If I tried to build this manually, it would be impossible for an amateur like me.

Isn't it amazing that this can be done just by giving instructions?

What I did to build the website

To put it very simply, this is how I proceeded.
Once the installation and Japanese settings are done, all you have to do is create a folder and
go back and forth with it.

How easy...!

There were some parts that were tricky

That said, it didn't all go smoothly.
The screen is intimidating, and everything is in English at first.

However, vibe coding is a technique that is getting a lot of attention.
If you look it up a little, there are plenty of articles on how to do it and how to set it up,
so you can definitely do it by using those as a reference.

It's free to use (might only be for now)

This is a big deal, right? You can do individual development for free.
There is a theory that Google is intentionally releasing it for free to gain market share from competitors, so it might become paid later.

However, since it's free, there are naturally limits, so you might need to pay if you want to use it comfortably.
I am subscribed to Google AI Pro (about 3,000 yen per month).

There are many groundbreaking and amazing tools like Gemini, nanobanana, and Antigravity right now, so Google AI Pro might be worth getting.

Anyway, trying it out is free, so please give it a try if you're interested.

Summary: It's well worth trying

The time I spent building this website this time was about 5 hours.
2 hours of that was spent struggling with registration for publication, so it only took about 3 hours for the site construction itself.

I mean, that's lightning fast, right?
Even an amateur who doesn't know the first thing about code can do it with the help of AI.

I think this alone has tremendous value.

The possibilities with Antigravity are endless.
I plan to keep exploring it and trying out various things.
