Softly, English. | 01 Insights on English learning taught by Just ask Cinderella!
The day I was asked, "When will you turn into a pumpkin?"
Perhaps English begins with "culture."
This happened back when I first started building an e-learning platform.
Every day, I would check progress with IT engineers in India at night,
and have meetings with American content development instructors via Google Meet during the day.
One day, while chatting late at night Japan time about an urgent matter,
the instructor suddenly said this:
"At what time might you turn into a pumpkin?"
Not understanding the meaning, I asked back,
"What does that mean?"
Then the instructor smiled and said,
"Just ask Cinderella!"
In that moment, I finally understood.
The instructor was concerned that I was working too late into the night,
and was gently asking, "When are you going to sleep?"
by comparing it to the time when the magic wears off.

💡 Language is about "context," not just "words."
I realized something from this experience.
To learn English or any other language,
it is very important to understand not just the memorization of words and grammar,
but also the "culture and background."
I am not a native speaker with perfect English,
nor can I say I am particularly good at it.
Even so, having faced many excellent students in this field,
I have gained "
know-how for living English" through their growth. From next time on,
👉 Not just stopping at words and grammar,
👉 I will deliver content on "learning English along with culture,"
together with concrete examples.
Please look forward to it.✨

Perhaps this experience, too,
is all connected to my "original intention."
If you would like, please take a look at this as well.
It is the journey I have taken, continuing from my original intention.
