[Gekidan Shiki] Three Consecutive Wins in Advance Reservations! The "New Web Reservation Strategy" to Win the Front Row of the Center Block
(Updated with the results for The Hunchback of Notre Dame on 2026/4/10)
Thank you so much for your hard work on the Gekidan Shiki advance reservations!
February 2026 was a super competitive month with advance sales for high-profile performances like "A Chorus Line," "Aladdin," and "Dreaming of a Dream" all overlapping.
"I accessed it right at 10:00 on the advance reservation day, but it wouldn't connect at all..."
"When I thought it connected, it was just 503 error screens..."
"I selected the seats, but when I proceeded to the purchase screen, it said those seats were unavailable..."
Have you ever experienced that?
In February 2026, I was able to secure front-row center block seats for all three performances: "A Chorus Line (ACL)," "Aladdin," and "Dreaming of a Dream (Yumesame)".
There are no special tricks. However, the results vary cruelly depending on whether you know the "correct preparation" and "environment setup" tailored to recent system updates.
This time, I will reveal "the complete procedure for grabbing good seats via web reservation" that I practice.
What I am sharing in this note is strictly my own record. There is no guarantee that "if you copy this procedure, you will definitely get good seats."
1. [Conclusion] Now it's not "phone" or "app," but "PC browser"
There was a time when it was said that "phone reservations are easier for getting front-row seats," but currently, web reservations are definitely more advantageous.
Conversely, I do not recommend participating via the official app. It is often unstable, which can cause you to miss your chance. If you have the app installed, make sure to organize your bookmarks so you can access it from a browser (like Safari or Chrome) on this day.
The strongest lineup is
the "PC web browser" only
!
[Signs of System Updates]
Recently, the Shiki icon (favicon) has started appearing on the "503 error" screen when access is concentrated. (This is likely an RPA countermeasure, though it seems like something that will be countered quickly in a cat-and-mouse game.) This is proof that the system side has started to manage access control in detail. In other words, if you access it correctly, it is "becoming easier to connect."
2. The decisive battle begins "before 9:00"! 3 steps for advance preparation
Opening the site exactly at 10:00 is too late. Before it enters maintenance at before 9:00, please complete the following preparations.
① Log in to Shiki ID & keep logged in
Be sure to log in and check "Keep me logged in".
② Keep 3 tabs "pinned" open
Prepare the following 3 browser tabs and "pin" them.
1. Gekidan Shiki ID Center Top Page
2. Gekidan Shiki ID Center Purchased Ticket List: To avoid duplication with existing reservations (display in a separate tab using Ctrl + Enter on 1. above) 3.
Gekidan Shiki Ticket Reservation Page: The page with the "Reserve Now" button

③ Set communication environment to "PC only"
If you are in a Wi-Fi environment, turn off Wi-Fi on all devices other than the PC (smartphones, family devices, etc.). Concentrate the communication bandwidth on one PC to maximize upload and download network speeds.
3. Just before the fateful 10:00: Time management by the second
When reservations start, accurate time is life.
Place a smartphone analog clock app or a radio-controlled solar clock in front of you so you can check the "seconds".
Another method is to change the time display on the PC taskbar from hh:mm to hh:mm:ss to display the seconds.
Since this increases power consumption, it is better to set it only when booking tickets.
The behavior at exactly 10:00 determines the outcome
・NG example: Clicking after it hits 10:00:00 (this will be too late).
・OK example: From 9:59:● seconds to 10:00:● seconds, hold down the ● key and hit it ● times (Hint: Open in multiple tabs)
※Note: If you hit the key too fast, there is a risk that the system will consider it an "attack" and block you. Take a breath and hit it a few times with certainty.
4. The iron rule from connecting to "securing a seat"
If you are lucky enough to connect to the "Performance Selection" screen, from here on, "hesitation" is your greatest enemy.
Close multiple tabs immediately
Once the "Performance Selection" screen appears, close all other backup tabs immediately. Proceeding with the reservation process in multiple tabs can cause the system to detect "duplicate access," leading to errors and crashes.
When to give up after being "beaten to the punch"
If you click on the front row seat you were aiming for and get a "already taken" message (beaten to the punch), do not pursue it further.
・If you are beaten once:Don't be greedy; immediately aim for 1-2 rows back, or seats slightly shifted to the side.
・Change dates carefully:Changing from a weekend to a weekday is fine, but the reverse is strictly forbidden. Good seats will evaporate while you are hesitating.
Summary: Checklist for Victory
1. Use a PC browser (do not use the app)
2. Complete login & tab pinning by 8:59
3. Dedicate Wi-Fi to the PC
4. Access at exactly 10:00 using a clock with a second hand
5. Proceed all at once once connected (never use the back button!)
In an era where the fiercely contested "Yume kara Sameta Yume" sells out in just 30 minutes, advance preparation is your only ticket to the front row.
I hope you all get to enjoy your favorite performances from the best seats!

How did everyone do with the advance reservations for "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" in Osaka?
I participated on behalf of an acquaintance. The result was getting the front row of the center block again this time.
For a holiday performance not subject to the advance lottery, I was able to select the very front (Row C) center seats 19 and 20, but I lost the race to click the 'proceed' button by a split second, so I ended up with seats 21 and 22.
For a few other performances, I also successfully secured seats in the 5th row (Row G), where the elevation begins and the view is quite good.
If the first two rows in Osaka are already filled, I strongly recommend the 5th row over the 3rd or 4th rows!
