Positive Reframing for My Son Who Refuses to Go to School (Elementary School Edition)

and I write articles about school refusal and parenting.

Today, I would like to try

positively reframing my son's school refusal.
(Elementary school edition: he attended in a separate room)

[The reality of the situation]
→ If you think of it this way, it becomes positive❣️

[He doesn't get up in the morning]
→ He's getting plenty of sleep, which is healthy!

[He attends school sporadically]
→ He is properly listening to the needs of his own heart and body❤️

[He can't enter the classroom]
→ He is properly protecting his HSC (Highly Sensitive Child) self❤️

[He can't attend class]
→ He is studying at his own pace
Since it's self-study, he can take his time facing problems he doesn't understand

[He does his class duties separately from the others]
→ He thought about what he could do within his duties and made a proposal👍

[A small separate room]
→ He made friends of different ages
The stories about the hobbies of kids who have specific interests are deep😄
Cleaning time is when everyone cleans the classroom together, so he can't slack off lol
(He was always polishing the floor until it sparkled✨)

[Parents drive him to and from school]
→ A great opportunity to talk about what happened at school♡
The happiness of walking side-by-side💕

[He's been playing games for 5 hours💦]
→ Amazing concentration!!! So cool‼️

I tried reframing things positively like this😊
The technique of viewing shortcomings as strengths is called "reframing
" in psychology.

Anyway, my philosophy is that my child is cute no matter what they do❤️.
In short, I'm a doting parent lol
My son is a middle schooler now, so I think I'll
try making a middle school edition too.
