Practical Proverb Series: The darkest place is under the candlestick
Good evening, this is Iwao.
I had put my ongoing weight loss on hold to write a manuscript for the Tokyo Literature Flea Market, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight on May 4th, where I will be participating as a member of the Chi-bu group.
Now that I have finished submitting the manuscript, I have resumed my weight loss starting today, but I am writing this in a hurry because I had a very scary experience.
I am currently sitting on a park bench in the middle of my run and walk for weight loss, and while I was walking, I passed by police cars an unusually high number of times.
Because I passed them so often, I was terrified, wondering if some incident had occurred or if a suspicious person was on the loose.
Just as I was about to stop my walk because I was scared, I realized a grave fact.
There he was, the suspicious person!!
A big man weighing over 80 kilograms, panting and staggering along at night...
It was me!! I was the suspicious one, so the police were passing by repeatedly to check on me!!
How scary!! It's scary that I didn't realize I was the suspicious one!!
I am so sorry for being suspicious of someone else when I was the suspicious one myself!!
I'm an idiot, so please forgive me!!
In my life, I have never felt
It is darkest under the lighthouse
as much as I do now.
