Kim Rivers

Founder, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer

Kim Rivers has served as the Chair of the board of directors and as Chief Executive Officer since 2015. She also previously served as President from 2015 until 2021. Ms. Rivers received her Bachelor’s degree in Multinational Business and Political Science from Florida State University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida. Ms. Rivers is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and she spent several years in private practice as a lawyer where she specialized in mergers, acquisitions, and securities for multi-million dollar companies. For over a decade, Ms. Rivers has run numerous successful businesses from real estate to finance, including as Principal of Inkbridge LLC, an investment firm, since 2011. Ms. Rivers serves as second vice chair of the National Cannabis Roundtable and the Benzinga Cannabis Advisory Board. Ms. Rivers has been recognized as an industry pioneer with accolades including Green Market Report’s Women’s Leadership Award 2022, Top 100 CEOs in Innovation Award 2022, and Most Influential Women in Cannabis Award.

Jan Reese

Chief Financial Officer

Jan Reese joined Trulieve as Chief Financial Officer in 2025. Mr. Reese is a seasoned international CFO with over two decades of finance leadership experience spanning public, private equity–backed, and entrepreneurial companies. He served as chief financial officer at Vimergy LLC, AVI-SPL, LLC, Tech Data Americas (now TD SYNNEX), and Motorsport Network Media LLC and has held senior finance and executive roles at Delphi Automotive (now Aptiv PLC) and Walmart International, among others. Throughout his career, he has overseen all core finance functions, led domestic and international expansion, and guided organizations through IPO- and exit readiness. Mr. Reese holds a BA from the International Business School (Germany) and an MBA from Bournemouth University (UK).

Elias Aguilera

Chief Marketing Officer

Elias (“Eli”) Aguilera is Chief Marketing Officer at Trulieve, bringing 25 years of marketing, merchandising, and operations experience across retail and CPG industries at public and private companies. Most recently, Mr. Aguilera was Chief Commercial Officer at MyEyeDr., a Goldman Sachs company, overseeing marketing, merchandising, digital, and supply chain. Mr. Aguilera began his career at Walmart as a Supercenter manager. He then worked at Procter & Gamble in brand management on the Dawn and Pampers brands. Mr. Aguilera then joined Anheuser‑Busch, where he led the Budweiser brand. During his tenure at AB InBev, he also led High‑End Import, Craft, and Specialty brands and played a key role in M&A strategy. In 2014, Mr. Aguilera returned to retail as Head of Spirits Merchandising at Total Wine & More. Over time, his leadership expanded to include Beer & More, Pricing, Assortment Planning, Concierge Sales, Marketing, and Advertising. Mr. Aguilera holds BA in Political Science from the University of Texas at El Paso and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Michiel de Zwaan

Chief Human Resources Officer

Michiel de Zwaan is Chief Human Resources Officer at Trulieve, bringing 25 years of global HR leadership experience across public and private companies in industries including consumer goods, medical devices, pharmaceutical, industrial, and hospitality. Before joining Trulieve in 2024, Michiel served as CHRO for Hill-Rom and Steris, two publicly traded medical device companies. He shapes enterprise strategies that drive growth, enable transformation, and cultivate high-performance cultures. Michiel leads organizational change, builds leadership capability, and advances talent agendas that deliver measurable business impact. His career spans seven countries across four continents, with leadership roles at Hilton, Levi Strauss, Mattel, Maersk, Roche, and Eaton. He holds a BA in Hotel Management with a specialization in HR from The Hague, The Netherlands.

Christine Hersey

Chief Corporate Affairs & Strategy Officer

Christine Hersey is the Chief Corporate Affairs & Strategy Officer at Trulieve, overseeing investor relations and corporate communications while shaping corporate and capital markets strategy. Ms. Hersey has over 25 years’ experience in corporate, buy-side, and sell side roles across a variety of sectors including biotech, cannabis, cleantech, and consumer retail. Prior to joining the cannabis industry in 2019, she covered global securities traveling throughout the US, Europe and Asia and worked as an environmental engineer and project manager. Ms. Hersey earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, M.S. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University, and an MBA and M.S. in Finance from Boston College.

Nilyum Jhala

Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Jhala has over 20 years' experience in information technology roles at large public and private high tech and national CPG companies. He has experience across business and technical domains including digital and back office transformation, ecommerce, IT architecture and business processes.  Mr. Jhala previously held leadership positions at companies including Hallmark Cards, Dollar Tree Inc,  Lowes, and Office Depot.   Mr. Jhala earned a B.E. in Electronics and Communications with Honors from Barkatullah University in India and a M.S. Computer and Information Systems,  degree from the University of South Alabama.

Kyle Landrum

Chief Production Officer

Kyle Landrum has served as our Chief Production Officer since 2019, after being promoted from his position as Cultivation Manager, a position he served in since 2017. As our Chief Production Officer, Mr. Landrum oversees all aspects of our cultivation and processing. Mr. Landrum graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Economics and a master’s degree in Agricultural Education. Mr. Landrum has demonstrated dedicated leadership experience in the franchise restaurant industry. Before joining Trulieve, Mr. Landrum spent six years, from 2011 to 2017, at Rib, Inc., most recently serving as the Director of Operations, where he managed a team of nearly 200. Cumulatively, Mr. Landrum has over 15 years of experience in management of multi-site operations.

Tim Morey

Chief Sales Officer

Tim Morey has served as our Chief Sales Officer since 2019, and previously as our Director of Retail in 2019. Mr. Morey has over 15 years of retail sector experience, with a focus on operational best practices and leveraging technology to enhance consumer engagements. Most recently, Mr. Morey served as Senior Director of Store Operations for Finish Line from October 2013 to September 2018, overseeing more than 900 stores and 45 district sales managers. Mr. Morey is a resident of Tallahassee, Florida and holds an associate degree, applied science, from Snow College, Utah.

Eric Powers

Chief Legal Officer

Eric Powers has served as our Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary since 2021, after being promoted from his position as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, a position he served in since 2019. Prior to joining Trulieve, Mr. Powers spent 13 years, from 2005 to 2018, as an in-house attorney for Crawford & Company, a publicly-traded insurance services firm, where he served in numerous roles within the legal department, most recently as Vice President and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Powers was in private practice for over 10 years with the law firms of Troutman Sanders, from 2000 to 2005, and Capell & Howard, from 1994 to 2000, specializing in corporate and tax law. Overall, Mr. Powers brings more than 25 years of legal experience to Trulieve, with a broad background in corporate law. Mr. Powers holds a J.D. from The University of Alabama Law School and a B.A. from Auburn University. Mr. Powers also received an LL. M. in Taxation from New York University.
