If you've been itching to enhance the functionality of your Steam Deck and want to take your portable gaming to the next level, then you might want to consider a Steam Deck dock. Docks not only provide you with an easy way to charge your Steam Deck but also plenty of useful ports to connect to an external display, or to use wired peripherals like a keyboard and controller. If you've got a Steam Deck OLED, and are worried if it needs a special kind of dock, you can rest assured that it's compatible with all the docks we've covered in this list. Having scoured countless Steam Deck dock options out there, we've brought the best ones together to make your job of finding the perfect one a bit easier.

Best Steam Deck docks in 2024: Bottom line

At the end of the day, all of these Steam Deck docks do the same thing, so it all comes down to your preferences. You can decide which one you like the looks of the most, which one has the ports you need, and which one is in your price range... hopefully those categories will coincide and point to the best dock for you!

A dock is a good way to add to the versatility of your Steam Deck, as it can turn your gaming handheld into a gaming console that connects to your TV or monitor easily. There are a lot of games that can benefit from a dock, and you should definitely leverage Steam Deck's powerful emulation capabilities if you've exhausted your "Verified on Deck" library. The Steam Deck is great, but these 7 upgrades would make it amazing

I love my Steam Deck, but it's not without its faults. Here's what I think the next version should include.

Our own Adam Conway has been thoroughly enjoying the Steam Deck along with the JSAUX Steam Deck Dock for months. It gives you the ability to enjoy your games more comfortably than you might on a PC, or when playing on a big TV in the living room. With an SD card filled with games and a dock that's portable, you can play all your favorite games anywhere, with the added bonus of being able to use a bigger screen when you want to.
