It's not quite 4K (but not far off in pixel count), but 1440p is often the sweet spot for most gamers, and the 21:9 aspect ratio creates an all-immersive gaming experience. This is the absolute best panel you can get for gaming right now, and while it's used in multiple other manufacturers' monitors, the Asus implementation is the best.

For one thing, Asus has a custom heatsink and graphene film on the panel to guard against heat-related damage. Then there's Asus' reputation for impeccable firmware, which is always ahead of the competition. That's perhaps even more important for QD-OLED, as the firmware has various methods for reducing burn-in and other issues, so it's important that the manufacturer gets it right.

While the Odyssey G9 isn't as bright as some other QD-OLED panels, it is a noticeably faster monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate, making it an ideal choice for fast-paced gaming.

Connectivity-wise, the G9 offers two USB Type-A ports and a single USB Type-C port, in addition to two HDMI 2.1 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.4. It's worth noting that you can use the 240Hz refresh rate on either the HDMI or DP ports, as Samsung has added DSC to the HDMI inputs.

That's seriously impressive, although it does suffer the usual whole-panel brightness issues of an OLED display, with 214.9 nits recorded in our testing. It's also got HDR1000 and HDR400 TrueBlack certification, so HDR on this monitor really pops.

The Gigabyte Aorus FO32U2 Pro uses the same third-generation QD-OLED panel as the earlier Asus ROG Swift. It has 32 inches of color-accurate pixels, a 4K resolution, and a 240Hz refresh rate. That means 250 nits of full-screen brightness, HDR1000 support, and the same 0.03ms GTG pixel response. It's a flat panel instead of the trend for curved gaming monitors and has a glossy coating, although QD-OLED gives some level of glare reduction simply by how the layers are stacked in the panel.

What you don't get on any other monitor is support for DisplayPort 2.1 via both a full-sized and mini port, with the ability to daisy-chain to another DisplayPort monitor via DP 1.4. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and has a 0.03ms response time, working together to provide an incredibly smooth and tear-free viewing experience. Thanks to the 21:9 aspect ratio and the 3440x1440 resolution, games look great in ultra-widescreen mode.
