AMD's Ryzen 9 7900X is one of the best-value CPUs offered by Team Red. With 12 cores and 24 threads, you'll be good for gaming and productivity workflow. It's capable of boosting up to 4.7GHz and costs just $393 for Black Friday. This is also the lowest we've seen the CPU listed outside a promotion. The Intel Core i5-12400 is more affordable than AMD's Ryzen 9 chip and still packs a punch with six physical cores. All six of these are P-cores, which support Hyper-threading and provide the CPU with 12 threads to use.
If your desktop PC will be primarily used for gaming, something like the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is the best choice at just $359.
