The Asus ROG Ally is a powerful portable gaming console running Windows 11. That means many compatible games, as all the existing game launchers from Valve, EA, Ubisoft, GOG, Xbox, and more will run without issue. The capable AMD Ryzen Z1 processors are at the heart of this little console, and it has a 1080p resolution screen with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming.
With it running Windows 11, that also opens the door to a huge ecosystem of accessories. The console also uses USB-C for charging and accessories and Asus’ proprietary ROG XG Mobile interface for external GPUs. You’ll probably want to protect your console while out and about, and a good pair of headphones will make your experience more immersive. I’ve rounded up my favorite accessories that will work with the Ally, and I hope it helps make your time with the console more enjoyable.

Our favorite Asus ROG Ally accessories so far
The Asus ROG Ally is a viable Steam Deck alternative, with a nice display and powerful processor. The portable console has been out for a few months now, so the list of compatible accessories is now pretty robust. If you’re thinking of picking one up, I recommend adding a few accessories, namely a screen protector like one from dbrand and a carrying case like the official ROG Ally travel case or the hard shell Spigen case, which will give your portable console more protection while also carrying the charger.
I also think the ROG XG Mobile dock is a worthy pickup if you want to use the ROG Ally as your primary gaming machine. It might be expensive, but it adds additional graphical prowess and more ports. For a cheaper docking solution, JSAUX's dock, which was originally made for the rival Steam Deck, has been confirmed by the manufacturer to work with the Ally. As the portable console runs Windows 11, you can also use any of the peripherals you may already have.
