You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is older) to participate in TikTok USDS Joint Venture campaigns.

As a user on the TikTok Platform, you may be auto-enrolled in, or invited to join, TikTok USDS Joint Venture campaigns that run from time to time on our Platform and allow you to complete missions or activities to receive Points (as defined in our Virtual Items Policy) and/or Rewards (as defined in our Rewards Policy), as well as potentially rank on a leaderboard (each, a "Campaign"). Being enrolled in a Campaign does not obligate you to do anything, but your participation in, and access to, a Campaign is subject to these terms (the "Campaign Terms").

If you live in the United States, TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC (“TikTok USDS Joint Venture") offers Campaigns to you.

These Campaign Terms supplement the Terms of Service (including documents referred to in the Terms of Service) and our Community Guidelines (the "TikTok User Terms"). If you are a creator, your participation in a Campaign is also subject to our Creator Code of Conduct, Rewards Policy and, for LIVE creators, our LIVE Monetization Guidelines (together, "Additional Terms & Policies").

You may opt out of any Campaign that you do not wish to participate in (see below for details on how to opt out).

THERE IS NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE OR RECEIVE REWARDS IN A CAMPAIGN, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED IN THE APPLICABLE CAMPAIGN-SPECIFIC RULES.

Each Campaign has its own Campaign-specific rules ("Campaign-specific Rules") and start and end dates. By participating in a Campaign, you will be subject to these Campaign Terms and the Campaign-specific Rules related to the Campaign you participate in. In the event of any conflict between terms, the Campaign-specific Rules supercede these Campaign Terms and shall prevail with respect to that Campaign. We reserve the right to suspend, postpone or cease any Campaign at any time without prior notification.

TikTok USDS Joint Venture is solely responsible for the running of each Campaign. For the avoidance of doubt, neither Apple, Google, nor any other third-party platform provider or payment processor (such as PayPal) is a sponsor of, or responsible for conducting, any Campaign.

Please update your TikTok app to the latest version before participating in a Campaign. People using an older version of the TikTok app may not be able to access all Campaign features, effects and Rewards.

1. Eligibility Requirements. You are only eligible to participate in a Campaign if:
1. you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your residence, whichever is older);
2. You are in compliance with the TikTok User Terms;
3. you are not an employee, officer or contractor of TikTok USDS Joint Venture;
4. your account is not a Government, Politician, and Political Party account; and
5. you are not using a VPN or similar tools that obscure or misrepresent your location.

Specific Campaigns may have additional or different Eligibility Requirements that you must meet to participate.

Meeting Eligibility Requirements will not guarantee your participation in any Campaign or your eligibility to receive Rewards. In addition, TikTok USDS Joint Venture reserves the right to deny, terminate, or suspend your participation in, and/or access to, Campaigns and/or to any Rewards from Campaigns, at our sole discretion.

2. Our Rights

TikTok USDS Joint Venture may deny, terminate or suspend your participation in, and/or access to, any or all Campaigns and Rewards if, in TikTok USDS Joint Venture's sole discretion:

a. you violate, or attempt to violate, the TikTok User Terms and, if you are a creator, the Additional Terms & Policies as well;

b. you fail to perform and engage actively and positively with other users, or otherwise share content that is low quality or violates, or attempts to violate, the TikTok User Terms or, if you are a creator, the Additional Terms & Policies as well;

c. you use bots, agents, unauthorized third-party plugins, or any other methods or technologies (not explicitly permitted by TikTok USDS Joint Venture) to attempt to fake engagement, collect Points or disrupt a Campaign;

d. you actively participate in a Campaign with more than one account in a way that provides you with an advantage;

e. you engage in any activity not in the spirit of a Campaign that attempts to unfairly or inappropriately manipulate your chances of collecting a Reward (including, but not limited to, collusion, cheating, or making promises in exchange for Gifts);

f. you become involved in any situation or occurrence, on or off the Platform, that could reflect unfavorably upon you or TikTok USDS Joint Venture; or

g. you make any derogatory or disparaging public statement or comment concerning TikTok USDS Joint Venture or a Campaign.

NOTE: the Points displayed on Campaign leaderboards may not be fully accurate and may contain inadvertent errors. Once each Campaign ends, TikTok USDS Joint Venture will confirm the accuracy and integrity of the Points totals and display the official results.

3. Opt-out. If you do not wish to participate in a Campaign that you are eligible for, or you object to the display of your information on the Campaign page, you can opt out by clicking the "Opt Out" link on any Campaign page once the Campaign has started. Once you have opted out, you will not be eligible for Rewards associated with the Campaign.

4. Rewards and Diamonds

a. Some Campaigns may offer Rewards and/or Diamonds to participants. Such Rewards and Diamonds will be set out in the Campaign-specific Rules for that Campaign and are subject to our Rewards Policy and Virtual Items Policy, respectively.

b. Although Diamonds are not a Reward, Campaigns may offer participants Diamonds (including as part of a Diamond pool) to reflect participants' engagement and popularity on the Platform.

c. Receiving Rewards is based on completing specific tasks, missions, and requirements of each Campaign, as set forth in each Campaign's Campaign-specific Rules.

d. TikTok USDS Joint Venture will make reasonable efforts to identify users who are eligible to receive Rewards and deliver Rewards to them. In the event that no participant qualifies for a Reward, or TikTok USDS Joint Venture is not able to properly identify the participant, or a Reward is not deliverable for any reason, TikTok USDS Joint Venture reserves the right not to give such Reward. TikTok USDS Joint Venture also reserves the right to substitute Rewards with other Rewards of equal value.

e. If you are eligible to claim a Reward and TikTok USDS Joint Venture sends you instructions on how to claim the Reward, you must follow the instructions to remain eligible to receive it. For example, for physical Rewards, you may be asked to share a valid mailing address. We will collect and process any personal information you share in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

f. By failing to follow instructions to claim and receive a Reward in a timely manner, you will be disqualified from receiving the Reward.

g. If a winner cannot be contacted or confirmed, or if a Reward is not successfully claimed in a timely manner, the Reward may be forfeited, and an alternative winner may be selected in line with the selection criteria.

h. TikTok USDS Joint Venture is not responsible for any unsuccessful Reward claims or any failed attempts to contact a winner.

i. Rewards are not exchangeable nor replaceable and cannot be transferred to other TikTok USDS Joint Venture users or to other TikTok USDS Joint Venture accounts or to any other person or account. No substitutions or money equivalents for Rewards are allowed, except by TikTok USDS Joint Venture in its sole discretion.

j. You are solely responsible for your use of any Reward you receive.

k. You are solely responsible for any taxes or other costs or requirements associated with receipt and/or use of a Reward.

l. Further requirements and details of any Rewards will be addressed in the Campaign-specific rules.

m. For any Rewards that include travel to a physical location or in-person event, you are solely responsible for ensuring that you can travel to that location on the specified date and time (including, as necessary, ensuring you have a valid passport, travel visa, and any other documentation necessary), and for covering any expenses not explicitly included in your invitation message.

n. TikTok USDS Joint Venture maintains sole discretion as to whether to invite you or anyone in your group to an in-person event, and TikTok USDS Joint Venture may disqualify anyone from attending an in-person event for any reason, at TikTok USDS Joint Venture's sole discretion. You and any others traveling with you may also be asked to review and sign a waiver or other release to enter an in-person event. Admission into any TikTok USDS Joint Venture event will be conditioned on TikTok USDS Joint Venture receiving a signed waiver or release from you and anyone who attends with you.

5. Privacy

a. Campaign pages and leaderboards may display certain information about your account and your status in the Campaign, including your username, profile picture, Points you have collected, Virtual Items and Rewards you have received, and other Campaign-related data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you do not want your information displayed in connection with a Campaign, you must opt out of the Campaign (as described above) or not participate.

b. TikTok USDS Joint Venture may request to collect additional personal information from participants as necessary to operate a Campaign or provide Rewards. If you are not willing to provide required additional personal information (such as payment information and mailing address), then TikTok USDS Joint Venture will not be able to disburse certain Rewards to you. By choosing not to provide the required information, you acknowledge that you may no longer be eligible to receive such Rewards, and you release and discharge TikTok USDS Joint Venture from any obligations in relation to it, and undertake to not submit any claim to TikTok USDS Joint Venture with respect to any matter related to such Campaign.

6. Creator's Participation in Campaigns

If you participate in a Campaign as a creator, you grant TikTok USDS Joint Venture the right to use your name, voice, image, and likeness, including, without limitation, in connection with your Campaign content, and for the advertising, publicity, and promotion of the Campaign, the Platform, and/or in paid media.
