I work as a field tech and this applies to my job as well. New guys will get nervous about the clients watching them, rush, screw things up, miss steps, or just fail to solve the problem.
I drill that mantra into their heads. Slow down. Think about the problem. Think about the systems involved. It doesn't matter if you look like you're just standing there, you're the only guy in 100 miles that can fix it. Rushing means you aren't thinking.
I'm in the "Ai can sometimes be helpful" boat but only under VERY specific circumstances.
That's also not accounting for the fact that most of these companies are run by absolute psychos, or the fact that they are beginning to switch over to a different payment model that is going to be prohibitively expensive.
You have to be aware AI also causes skill degradation when you rely on it. Those specific circumstances I mentioned tend to be mindless busy work that might take you 3 hours but can be done in 10 seconds by AI. Anything involving you thinking, being creative, or having a personal touch should absolutely not involve AI.
