About the Doctoral College
The Doctoral College provides dedicated support and expert guidance to enhance the Postgraduate Research (PGR) experience at Newcastle University. We work in close collaboration with a wide range of PGR-focused colleagues across all academic units and professional services across the institution.

The Doctoral College's core responsibilities include implementing the PGR Strategic Plan, overseeing cross-University change projects, supporting initiatives that enhance PGR research and development, and delivering the PGR Supervisor Development Programme. Explore the sections below to learn more.
We are pleased to share our new Postgraduate Research (PGR) Strategic Delivery Plan, developed over the past two years with input from students and staff. The plan sets out how we will place PGR students more firmly at the heart of the University, recognising your vital contribution to research, culture, and societal impact.
