Summary of New Features (each Group PTF is listed)

When upgrading to a new Web Query release or group PTF level, developers who use the Developer Workbench client must install the latest level of Developer Workbench on their PC.  The client is refreshed for each release and group PTF level, and it is important that the Developer Workbench level matches that of Web Query running on the IBM i.  To refresh the Developer Workbench client on a PC, follow these steps:

  • 1. Download the installation files from the IBM i directory /qibm/proddata/qwebqry/DeveloperWorkbench  to a folder on the  PC.  The files are named with the following format:
  •     WQDevWorkvrm.sfx.part#.ext
  •     where:
  •      vrm is the Web Query version, release, and modification level.
  •     # is the file number.  There are several files in the set.  Download each one. 
  •     ext is the file extension, either exe or rar.
  • 2. Run the .exe file.

*Notice: For Db2 Web Query, if you used IBM's support process to submit PMRs in the past, be aware that the portal and interface changed on June 26, 2017. This is part of a global IBM initiative to transition to a new support process. This new process improves IBM's end to end support work for problem tracking and resolution.
