Error description

  • If upgrading a pre CICS TS 6.3 CSD using DFH$CSDU supplied with
CICS TS 6.3 then CJSR TRANSACTION resource definitions will not
    be updated correctly.

This will mean when using the CSD in a pre CICS TS 6.3 level the
definition in DFHCOMPL will contain SHUTDOWN(ENABLED) instead of
    the required SHUTDOWN(DISABLED).

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users with PTF UO07169 applied *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The CJSR Transaction DEFINITION is not *
    * set correctly if upgrading using *
    *                      DFHCURDM or DFH$CSDU.                   *
    ****************************************************************
When upgrading the CSD on CICS TS 6.3 using the DFHCSDUP utility
with the UPGRADE USING(DFHCURDM) option, the CJSR transaction
resource definition is not updated as expected. As a result,
when using the CSD, the definition in DFHCOMPL retains
SHUTDOWN(ENABLED) instead of the required SHUTDOWN(DISABLED).
Additionally, DFH$CSDU, a sample member located in the SDFHSAMP
library, contains pre-written ALTER commands that can be used to
update the CJSR transaction definition but does not include the
    required ALTER command.

Problem conclusion

  • UO07169

Code has been corrected in DFHCURDM to update the CJSR
transaction definition to SHUTDOWN(DISABLED), and DFH$CSDU
sample member has been updated to include the required ALTER
    commands.
