Action buttons and hyperlinks let you create interactive navigation in your presentation. You can jump to specific slides, open websites, launch files, or send emails with a single click.
1. Add a Hyperlink
Step 1: Hyperlinks can be added to text, shapes, images, or icons.
Step 2: Select the text or object you want to turn into a link.

Step 4: Go to the Insert tab → click Link (or press Ctrl + K).

Step 5: In the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, choose one of the following:
- Existing File or Web Page: Link to a website or a file on your computer.

- Place in This Document: Link to another slide in the same presentation.

- Create New Document: Create and link to a new file.

- E-mail Address: Open a new email message.

Step 6: Enter the address or select the destination slide.

Step 7: Click OK.

2. Add an Action Button
Action buttons are ready-made shapes designed for navigation.
Step 1: Go to the Insert tab → Shapes.
Step 2: Scroll to the bottom of the gallery to the Action Buttons section.

Step 3: Select a button style (Home, Back, Forward, Information, Custom, etc.).

Step 4: Click and drag on the slide to draw the button.

Step 5: The Action Settings dialog box opens automatically.

Step 6: On the Mouse Click tab (or Mouse Over tab):
- Select Hyperlink to and choose the destination (Next Slide, Previous Slide, First Slide, Last Slide, specific slide, URL, or other file).
- Or choose Run program, Run macro, or Play sound.

Step 7: Click OK.

3. Edit or Remove a Hyperlink / Action
- Right-click the linked object or text → Edit Link or Remove Link.

- For an action button, right-click it → Edit Hyperlink or open Action Settings again.

4. Test Your Links
Hyperlinks and action buttons only work in Slide Show view.
- Press Shift + F5 to start the slideshow from the current slide.
- Click the links or buttons to verify they work correctly.
