You can make any object (text, image, shape, icon, etc.) appear or disappear during a presentation simply by clicking. This is done by combining Entrance and Exit animations and setting them to start On Click.
Make an Object Appear on Click
Step 1: Select the object on the slide.
Step 2: Go to the Animations tab.
Step 3: Choose an Entrance effect such as:
- Appear
- Fade
- Fly In
Step 4: In the Timing group, make sure Start is set to On Click.
Step 5: During the slideshow, the object will stay hidden until you click.
Make an Object Disappear on Click
Step 1: Select the same object.
Step 2: On the Animations tab, click Add Animation (do not choose from the main gallery, or it will replace the existing animation).
Step 3: Scroll to the Exit effects and choose one such as:
- Disappear
- Fade
- Fly Out
Step 4: Set Start to On Click.
