Apply Slide Transitions in PowerPoint

Last Updated : 16 Sep, 2026

Slide transitions are the visual effects that play when you move from one slide to the next during a presentation. They help create a smooth and professional flow between slides.

Steps to Add a Transition

Step 1: In the left thumbnail pane, select the slide you want to apply a transition to. (The transition controls how this slide appears and how the previous slide exits.)
