UKG visited our campus for a recruitment drive, providing an exciting opportunity for students to showcase their skills and secure positions in their esteemed organization.
Round 1
I had 1 coding question and a few MCQs on the HackerRank platform. After about a month, 15 students were shortlisted for the in-person interview.
Round 2
I was among the 15 students selected. The interviewer in this round was friendly and approachable throughout the process. He asked me 3 puzzle questions, all from GFG's top 100 puzzles. Additionally, I was asked about selection sort, maximum product, and the longest consecutive subarray.
Round 3
In this round, the interviewer was quite serious and less approachable. Despite knowing from my resume that I didn’t have much knowledge about Bigtable or AlloyDB, he still insisted that I answer questions on these topics. He also asked about the 2-phase commit protocol. Some of my friends were asked about things like the Schrödinger wave equation and black holes, which were completely irrelevant to the position. Initially, they mentioned that they weren’t there to reject candidates, but it felt different.
There are a total of 6 rounds in the process. Unfortunately, I wasn’t shortlisted after the 3rd round. Sometimes, it depends on the interviewer as well, so don’t feel disheartened or think you aren’t good enough.
All the best!
