Round 2 - Technical Interview:-
• The interview started in a lobby with 40 other candidates. The HR began by having everyone introduce themselves, then assigned each candidate to a breakout room for the technical interview. After my introduction, I was moved to another room for a 1:1 technical interview.
• The interview began with a brief introduction and swiftly moved into a rapid-fire round of questions mainly based on GitHub and the tech stack you are comfortable with:-
1. What is Git?
2. What is GitHub?
3. Are these two independent tools?
4. Give a valid explanation for the above question.
5. Methods to revert to the previous commit?
6. What exactly is .gitignore?
7. Significance of branching?
8. Difference between encryption, decryption?
9. What is hashing?
10. Which is better of the two methods?
11. Give a valid example for your answer.
12. WhatsApp messages are encrypted or is it hashing?
13. Explain the answer in detail.
14. What is salting and an example of it?
15. Discussion around cookies and session.
16. Most common method to store passwords in any database?
17. Reason for the above?
18. What is the rainbow table?
19. Use of indexing in the database?
20. Why is it necessary with an example?
21. Major difference between React, Node, and JavaScript?
Verdict - Answered all the questions, and skipped one question since there was a negative marking for every wrong answer.
- Rejected.
My View:
• I was not selected for a further round, but I was satisfied that I could answer the majority of the questions correctly.
• Learned a lot from this interview, thanks to rtCamp for this amazing opportunity.
• These experiences kept on adding rich value for the future journey.
