MathCo Interview Experience Analyst Trainee

Last Updated : 24 Sep, 2024

Mathco recently visited our campus for recruitment, and the process was divided into several rounds, each serving as an elimination stage. Here’s a detailed breakdown of my interview experience:

First Round: Aptitude Test

The first round consisted of basic aptitude questions. The questions were straightforward, covering general topics, and aimed to test the fundamental analytical and reasoning skills of the candidates.

Second Round: Communication Test

In this round, candidates were given lines to read. First, we had to listen to an audio recording, and then we were required to record what we had heard. This round tested our listening and communication skills. After this round, the number of candidates was reduced significantly. Out of the 300 applicants, 170 were selected to move on to the next round.

Final Round:

Interview The interview process was split into two parts:

  • Technical Interview: This part focused on questions related to my projects, puzzles, and scenario-based problems. The interviewers were looking for practical problem-solving abilities and an understanding of technical concepts.
  • HR Interview: In the HR round, they explained the role in detail and asked questions like, "Why Mathco?" to gauge my interest in the company and role.

After the final interviews, out of the 92 people shortlisted, only 20 were selected. I was fortunate enough to be one of them.
