Hello everyone! I’m thrilled to share my on-campus interview experience with LTI Mindtree. The recruitment process involved three online rounds, and here’s a detailed account of my journey:
Designation: Graduate Engineer Trainee
Total Selected Candidates: Approximately 50% of the shortlisted candidates
Timeline
- Registration on LTI Platform: 20th August 2024
- Pre-Placement Talk: 6th September 2024
- Online Assessment: 6th September 2024
- Technical Round Interview: 11th October 2024
- HR Round Interview: 15th October 2024
- Final Verdict: Selected on 4th November 2024 (Best email ever!)
Round 1: Online Assessment
The first round included four sections and was an elimination round:
- Logical Ability — 20 minutes
- Quantitative Ability — 20 minutes
- Technical & Computer Programming — 35 minutes
- Communication Skills — 20 minutes
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate
The questions were straightforward, and a basic understanding of the topics was enough to do well. With proper preparation, this round was manageable.
Round 2: Technical Interview
This round was a mix of technical and behavioral questions, conducted by a DevOps professional with 15+ years of experience. The interviewer was kind and created a positive atmosphere.
Questions and Topics Covered
Introduction:
- Who is your favorite cricketer?
- Classic "Tell me about yourself" opener.
- One advantage and one disadvantage of pursuing a B.Tech degree.
Behavioral Questions:
- What’s one of your strengths?
- Share three weaknesses.
- A situation-based problem to explain my approach and reasoning.
Programming Questions:
- Output-based questions on C++ (my preferred language).
- Concepts of OOPS: interface, abstract class, etc.
DBMS Questions:
- SQL queries, types of keys (candidate, unique), and normal forms.
Why LTIMindtree?
- This was my chance to express why LTIMindtree felt like a perfect fit for me.
Any Questions for Me?
- I asked about growth opportunities at LTIMindtree, and the interviewer shared valuable advice and insights into industry trends.
Duration: ~30 minutes. It felt like a blend of technical and personality evaluation.
Round 3: HR Interview
This round focused on communication skills and personality.
Questions Asked:
- How did your online assessment go?
- A brief self-introduction.
- Are you willing to relocate?
- Are you comfortable working in shifts?
- Which location would you prefer?
Difficulty Level: Easy
The HR interviewer wished me luck and warmly welcomed me to Mindtree. This round lasted only about 5 minutes.
Final Verdict: Selected!
I was officially selected on 4th November 2024, and it felt amazing!
