Role: Graduate Engineer Trainee (Cybersecurity)

Mode: Off-Campus Recruitment

Round 1: Aptitude Test

Date: 13 October 2025 | Mode: Online

The test focused on:

  • Logical reasoning
  • Quantitative aptitude
  • Verbal ability

Nothing overly complex. Questions demanded speed, clarity, and calm thinking. It wasn’t about knowing everything; it was about staying composed under pressure.

Round 2: Group Discussion

Date: 16 October 2025 | Mode: Online

So, my GD was held online, and there were 12 people in my group, which honestly felt a bit intimidating at first. With so many people, it was easy to either get lost or talk too much—so balance was important.

The topic was pretty broad, nothing technical, which helped because everyone could share their perspective. I focused on listening first, then jumped in when I felt I had something relevant to add. I made sure I wasn’t interrupting anyone and tried to build on what others were saying instead of repeating the same points.

Round 3: Technical + HR (HR 1)

Date: 1 November 2025 | Mode: Offline

So, for the first interview round, we had to report at 8:30 AM, but the actual interviews started around 9 AM. There was a bit of waiting, but nothing chaotic — everything was properly coordinated.

Once my turn came, it was a technical + HR combined interview. Most of the questions were basic cybersecurity questions — things around fundamentals, concepts you’d usually study at an entry level. Nothing unexpected or too deep.

Since I had prepared the basics properly, the questions felt manageable and the conversation stayed smooth. They also asked a few questions related to my background and what I had studied, but it didn’t feel like grilling at all.

Overall, the round went pretty straightforward for me. I was comfortable with what they asked, answered calmly, and I managed to clear this round.

Round 4: Final HR (HR 2)

Date: 7 November 2025 | Mode: Online

The final HR round was a short online interview, hardly around 10 minutes. It was very basic and mostly about my background, just to make sure I was the right fit for the role and the company.

They asked simple questions about what I’ve done so far, my interests, and a bit about my projects. I did fumble slightly while explaining one part of my project, which could’ve thrown me off, but the HR was actually quite friendly. Instead of making it awkward, they helped guide the conversation and got me back on track, which honestly made the round feel much more comfortable.
