Emerson came to campus full-time as a Software Developer Role
Round 1 Online Technical Test:
Emerson Campus Assessment
It basically contains 5 sections and the duration of the test was 2Hr and the total of 85 marks test. Let's see the section-wise breakdown:
- Aptitude:10 MCQ (20 minutes)
- Analytical:10 MCQ (20 minutes)
- Technical:20MCQ (30 minutes)
- C++ or Java: 20 MCQ (20 minutes)
- Coding Question:1 (30 minutes)
The coding question is basically medium-level ( Optimization required).
for section 4 you have the option to choose C++ or Java to get the answer in those specific languages and there is no restriction for section 5.
My coding question is related to using the sliding window approach.
Round 2 Technical interview round:
I started off the interview by greeting me and asking about my favorite subject from my resume which I have mentioned and continued to ask questions on it. It basically each and every word of your resume asked by her. Its related questions are asked based on my ranking. Detailed about projects mentioned on resume with its structure and documentation things as well. Coding profiles ranking checked.
Lastly she was asked me some questions related to managerial also(hardly 2 to 3 questions).
Given 1 coding question but it was an easy coding question, you can crack it. More focus on your way to answer, confidence, and communication skills.
HR Round:
It started with an introduction and then a discussion on projects that have been completed but wait! Not what you did but yes it is about how your plan to achieve for small and big projects project plan was asked by her. It contains basic HR-type questions only, like
- Did you want to join the company?
- What do you know about Emerson?
- Location, etc. thing discussion.
On a good kind note interview was completed.
Verdict! I got placed at Emerson.
One advice to all is just to stay calm and answer the questions confidently. Practice and hard work paid off. Believe in yourself.
