Cognizant Interview Experience for Genc Next Role (On-Campus)

Last Updated : 18 Jun, 2025

Hello Everyone! I am a 4th-year Computer Science and Engineering student actively preparing for software engineering roles. I am based in Andhra Pradesh, and recently participated in the recruitment process for Cognizant, one of the leading service-based companies. Here is a detailed overview of my experience with the recruitment process.

Application Process

In the last week of January, we applied through Superset. There were three different skill clusters, which can generally be defined as three distinct skill sets. During the application process, we were asked to choose between Skill Cluster 2 and Skill Cluster 3, as everyone by default belonged to Skill Cluster 1. It was crucial to be conscious and clear while selecting a cluster.

I chose Skill Cluster 3, which included C#, ANSI SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I opted for this because I already had hands-on experience with C++ and Java (basics). Since C# syntax closely resembles these two languages, I decided to start learning it
