Today the museum is run completely by volunteers, each with a unique background with the fire services; Some being former and current members of Fire Rescue Victoria, the MFB, Country Fire Authority (CFA), Department of Environment and Primary Industries (DEPI) and many more other fire-related agencies. We are Open again for 2026 ! The Museum is open again from Thursday the 22/01 We will be open on Friday 23/01, however closed on Sunday the 25/01 Then back to our normal Thursday / Friday / Sunday routine ! We look foward to seeing you all again As always keep an eye on our Facebook Page for any changes.Presentation of Challenge Coin to FSMV Ambassador Mr David Mann AM At the Museum General meeting on Saturday the 12th of April the FSMV presented our Ambassador, Mr David Mann AM, with a unique challenge coin for his personal use. This coin can only be obtained from Mr Mann, check out the News Page for more Australia Day Honours 2024 ! A number of Fire services Personnel recevied the Australian Fire Services Medal (AFSM) as part of the Australia Day Honours - Check them out on our News Page Kids colouring Page and a puzzles page We are adding things to our kids section, this weeks it's an online jigsaw so check out our puzzles page as we add some word games over the coming weeks. We also have a kids colouring page These coloring sheets, and the word games, are downloadable pdf's you can print them. If you have drawings for us to add please email them to us at enquiries@fsmv.net.au so we can make them into pdf's to share. FSMV turned 50 !! Last year the Fire Services Museum turned 50 !! The Museum produced a 50th Anniversary Coin and Pin to recognise the event.
