    コバルト文庫版を持っていたけど、表紙が素敵だったので新装版も購入。内容に関しては独特のユーモアやメタネタが時代を感じさせるもさすが辻真先、未熟さや痛々しさはない。モンキーパンチのイラストもあいまって原作のおまけエピソード的な趣を感じる。原作好きならおすすめ。

    巻末に大増量された《解説文》読みたさに購入しました。

    著者、辻真先センセイがお得意の"ﾀｲﾎﾟｸﾞﾗﾌｨ"や"ことば遊び"を

    駆使して描き出そうとしたのはあくまで"モンキーパンチ"のコミック世界。

    アニメONLYな読者はカタスカシ喰らわされそうですよ。

    part１、part２の時代を感じさせ、それを更に飛び越えるルパン

    物語はアニメpart１の名作、パイカルとの戦いを辻さん独特の遊びも交え、割合忠実にノベライズした第一話から始まります。

    そして、原作の印象的なエピソードに、これまた遊び心満載のアレンジを加え、全体を通した悪役としてパイカル、その妹・コーリャンをキャスティングする構造なのですが……

    テレビの世界、特にアニメの世界で活躍し続けてきた辻さんならでは、芸能界の裏を大胆に取り込み、何処かで見たような俳優さんが登場するなど、他の人がルパンを描けば絶対出てこない展開へ雪崩れ込んでいきます。

    そして、今となっては滅茶苦茶貴重な「辻真先×モンキーパンチ×part１の演出家・おおすみ正秋」三氏による対談も凄く面白い。

    多分、これから先も亜流、傍流の類が出てこないであろうオンリーワン「ルパン三世」のマンガ、アニメが如何にして誕生したのか、どのような発想で今の形に近づいていったのかを知る事ができます。

    小説としての面白さは勿論なのですが、次世代のオンリーワンを目指す若きクリエイターの人達に読んで欲しいなぁ、としみじみ思いました。

    ちなみに、最後のエピソードでルパンが実写映画化されるという下りがあり、その撮影現場にルパンが乗り込むんですけど、まさか小栗旬主役で本当に実現してしまうとは、当時は想像もつかなかったでしょうね。

    できるものなら辻さんのシナリオで、再トライしてほしい気がします。
