だいぶ前(2018年)に町の書店で購入したのですが、最近ちょくちょくAmazonのオススメ欄に表示されており、今更ですがレビューしてみようと思います。 この本、6年間も結構な頻度で使っているのに今でも手放せない、かなりの良書です。 自分は人体を描くのがとても苦手で、今まで何冊も美術解剖図鑑的なものは買っているのですが、こちらの本を上回る使いやすさの本には未だ出会えていません。 使い方の用途としては、人体骨格の基礎から順を追ってじっくり学びたいという場合よりも、制作中に『あれ？ここどうなってたっけな…』という瞬発力が求められるシーンで最も活躍します。 一般的な解剖書よりも画像情報の比率がかなり高く、図のサイズも大きい。 見易いよう筋肉や骨の部位ごとに色分けがされていたり、実写とイラスト両方で解説もされていたりで視覚的にパッと見で解りやすい本です。 作業中の痒いところにすぐ手が届く為、用途に合う方には非常におすすめ出来る本だと思います。

    実際の写真とその写真の中で筋肉を分けて表示した絵が並べて説明されており、理解がしやすいです。

    また向きを変えた場合（手の回転など）や、そのポーズにおける4方向から見た筋肉のイラストもあり、

    どの角度だとどの筋肉が見えてくるのかがわかりやすいです。

    値段は結構しますがその価値はあると思います。

    キャラクターモデリングの参考資料として購入

    価格相応のボリュームで乗っていない情報は無いんじゃないか、というくらいです

    年齢別の造形から曲げた時にどういう形状になるか、まで乗っています

    ただアニメ調のキャラを作ろうとなると顔の部分のみ参考にしづらいかと

    だけど応用できそうな部分がたくさんあるので満足しています

    体の作りがとても把握しやすい表現をしている。

    各所に注意点のような説明があるがそれが「なるほど確かにここはわかりづらいな」「ここは勘違いしていたな」と思うものでありとても有益。

    この本以外でも似たような人体解説・表現の画像などはネット上でちょくちょく見かけるがやはりまとまっている方が便利だし高い水準で表現してくれている。

    ちょっとアレではあるが私はこれをトイレに常備しておいて普段キャラクターを描く時「あれ？ここどうなってたっけ」となる場所を確認している。

    とりあえず買っておいて損にはならないであろう一冊だ。

    PCの前にいない時は実物の本を、PCの前にいる時はデジタルでも持っておきたいなと考えている。

    人体の骨と筋肉のつき方をこれでもかと細分化して説明してある。

    筋肉の部位名とか、写真に筋肉の形を書き込んだ参考書は見た事ありますが、まるまる一冊すべてそういう感じ。

    あの角度の時にあの筋肉はどの様な場所につくのか？というのを筋肉の形や骨等から理解ができる。

    直立している時にどうなっているか、曲げた時は？座った時は？等々……

    ふんわりとした知識じゃなくて、どうなっているのか！までを理解したい人へ。

    痒いところに手が届く、大変見ごたえがある一冊で値段相応の価値があるものだと感じています。

    大変満足です！

    これを購入する前に、『ソッカの美術解剖学ノート』を先に購入して勉強しました。よく並べて比較されるこの２冊ですが、ソッカは読み物として「へー！」という驚きがあり、楽しく学ぶことができました。

    ただ唯一の不足点があり、それは「脂肪体」について触れられていないことです。

    その点を補完する意味でも、こちらの『スカルプターのための美術解剖学』は購入の価値があります。

    獲得するタイミングで評価が大きく変わるイメージとしては、

    ソッカを学ばないでいきなりスカルプターを買うと、内容が薄くて肩透かしを食らいます。逆にソッカを読んだひとがスカルプターを購入したときに、この本が真価を発揮し、ありがたみがわかる。そのような本です。

    価格改定後だったので少し購入を躊躇していましたが、ほんとうにこれを手に入れてよかったと思います。ソッカとあわせて、一生ものです。
