    ・この物語の主人公の雫は33歳の独身女性。幼い時の両親と死別して、母の双子の弟に育てられた。「父」は雫に惜しみなく愛情を注ぎ、雫もそんな父を愛して育ってきた。父の再婚を気に雫は一人で暮らすようになり、二人は疎遠になる。そんなある日ステージ4のガン患い、余命宣告。海が見えるところで最後を過ごしたいという思いから、瀬戸内海に面するホスピス「ライオンのいえ」で余生を過ごすこととなった。

    ・ライオンの家では、定期的におやつの時間があり、入居者から人生の思い出のおやつをリクエストできる。おやつには様々な思い出がつまっており、リクエストした人はもちろんそれを食べる周り人の心も癒してくれます。

    ・雫は残りのライオンのいえでの生活で、様々な人の心に触れておだやかな最後を迎えます。マドンナ、犬の六花、タヒチくん、ボランティアの方、他の入居者の方、お父さん。人生の素晴らしさは長さで決まるのではないということを考えさせられます。

    ・人生の最後に人は何を想い、何に後悔して、何に抗って、何を受け入れて、どんな気持ちで最後を迎えていくのかを考えさせられる小説です。舞台となった瀬戸内海の美しい情景、出てくる食事やおやつの豊かな表現、人の心の描写。死をテーマにしている小説ですが、心をあったかい気持ちにさせてくれるそんな小説です。人生で大切なものは何か見失っている人、人生を見つめ直した人にオススメです。

    こんな内容だとは想像もしなかった。衝撃だった。

    ただ、かつての親友を亡くし、どう受け止めていいか分からなかったあの頃。

    親友も、緩和ケアを受けながら最期はこんな境地にいたのだろうか、そう信じたい。

    そう思うことで、私の心の奥底にあったわだかまりもようやく整理がついた気がした。

    この部分も30代でガンになり人その葛藤何メイン、この自分の人生に折り合いをつけるところ、ここもいいんだけど、

    全体的な構成は良かったと思う。

    しかし細部を見ると、タヒチ君という男性とのキスシーンが強引だし、父親が雫さんに前触れもなく結婚すると打ち明けるなどあり得ないだろうとか、気になる点は無いわけではない。

    でも、全体的には良かったと思う。

    何より気になった点は語彙が拙劣だということ。

    雫さんが亡くなったあと、梢さんが「心にシミのように」という表現があったと思う。

    これはいただけない、「心に深く染みついた」というなら分かる。そういったボキャ貧が各所に見られるのが残念。

    時間の経過や、読者の歓心を誘う導入は良かった。
