NEW: The Biden administration is canceling another $4.28 billion in student loan relief for about 54,900 borrowers who work in public service, the White House announced on Friday.

This will likely be one of the final rounds of relief Biden delivers before President-elect Trump takes office next month. The incoming administration is not expected to prioritize debt forgiveness.

The Biden administration has now forgiven nearly $180 billion for 4.9 million borrowers.

Friday's action, through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, will provide relief to borrowers who are teachers, firefighters and members of law enforcement and meet certain qualifications.

In fact, the league claims that 'threats, incidents and incursions by unauthorized drones over NFL games jumped from 12 in 2017 to more than 2,800 in 2023'.

In a statement, the NFL's senior vice president of security Cathy Lanier has called on Congress to take steps to prevent further incidents from occurring.

'Over the past several years, an increasing number of drones have flown into restricted airspace during NFL games,' she said.

🤔President-elect Donald Trump this week transferred his entire stake of shares in Trump Media to a revocable trust of which he is the sole beneficiary, regulatory filings revealed Thursday evening.

Trump did not receive any money for the gift of his 114,750,000 shares of Trump Media stock to the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust on Tuesday, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Because Trump is the beneficiary of the trust, he now “indirectly” owns the Trump Media shares he transferred, the SEC filing noted.

The president-elect’s son, Donald Trump Jr., is the sole trustee of the trust, and has sole voting and investment power over securities held by the entity, according to a separate SEC filing Thursday.

Trump Media, which trades under the DJT ticker, closed at $35.41 per share Thursday, making the value of the transferred stock more than $4 billion.

Trump, who is set to be sworn in as president for a second non-consecutive term on Jan. 20, had been the largest individual shareholder in the social media company, which operates the Truth Social app. His stake represented nearly 53% of the company’s outstanding shares.

DAILY MAIL: Vice President Kamala Harris abruptly canceled her Christmas vacation trip to Los Angeles on Thursday, as the fate of a congressional effort to fund the government remains uncertain.

The Vice President’s office had advised reporters at 3:00pm that Harris would not travel to Los Angeles, CA and instead remain in Washington, DC.

Thursday evening’s guidance revealed that Harris would remain in Washington, DC for the day to ‘receive briefings and conduct internal meetings with staff.’

The sudden cancelation of Harris’ vacation plans prompted speculation on social media that perhaps President Joe Biden was in poor health, after a Wall Street Journal story reminded Americans just how frail the president of the United States had become.

But Biden appeared to be mobile on Thursday, as he returned with his family to the White House. He exited Marine One and walked across the South Lawn with his wife Jill and holding the hand of his grandson Beau Biden. Hunter Biden traveled with the president.

The Biden family traveled to Delaware to attend a Mass Wednesday commemorating the death of Joe Biden’s first wife and daughter in a traffic accident 52 years ago. The Mass was held at St. Joseph on the Brandywine after a church service in Wilmington, Delaware.

Harris’ return to Washington, DC is likely due to the uncertainty of whether the House of Representatives can pass a stopgap continuing resolution bill to fund the government.

The vice president may be needed to vote in the Senate in case of a tie, but also it would look bad politically if she left Washington for her Christmas vacation while legislators remind in town to hammer out a deal.

Two self-proclaimed geopolitical alpha male leaders will be squaring off next year.

In one corner will be President Donald Trump, hungry for a Ukraine peace deal that would make him look like a global peacemaker. In the other, Russian President Vladimir Putin, an astute, manipulative and vehemently anti-American autocrat who hopes to entice Trump into creating a transactional new world order without rules or human rights.

Putin is seeking a grand bargain on European security that would leave Ukraine at the Kremlin’s mercy, weaken NATO and cement Russia’s place as a global power.

Ahead of any talks, the Kremlin is carefully assessing Trump’s messaging, ambitions and vulnerabilities, while remaining wary of his unpredictability. Trump’s weaknesses, according to Russian analysts, include geopolitical naivety, a short attention span and a propensity to rely on gut not brain.

“Trump deliberately keeps silent, I think, because he doesn’t know,” said Konstantin Remchukov, editor of Nezavisimaya Gazeta. “We saw his campaign. He’s not a profound thinker on geopolitical stuff.”

The biggest issue between the two men will be the conflict in Ukraine, which Trump has promised to end in 24 hours.

But Putin has set strict conditions for any deal, including keeping Ukraine permanently out of NATO, significantly reducing its military and hanging on to Ukrainian territory. Analysts see little hope for a peace deal, given Putin’s maximalist position and Trump’s wariness of looking weak if he gives too much to Russia.
