The U.S. Capitol Police union leader is calling out the department for providing special financial and other benefits to Capt. Michael Byrd, the officer who fatally shot Jan. 6 protestor Ashli Babbitt, that were not given to fellow officers.

โ€œWhat a slap in the face to the rank and file officers of the USCP, especially all who were on duty on J6,โ€ U.S. Capitol Police union Chairman Gus Papathanasiou said in a statement Thursday to Just the News.

Just the News reported Wednesday that House Democratic leadership pressured the Capitol Police to provide financial and other assistance to then-Lt. Michael Byrd after the shooting that included a $37,000 retention bonus, help with $160,000 in private fundraising, housing, and a promotion to captain.

This assistance far surpassed the support given to other officers who were serving on the Capitol grounds that day.

Papathanasiou demanded that Byrd be forced to repay the amounts he was given that exceeded bonuses for other officers who served on Jan. 6, 2021, or that the department provide the same benefits to all.

Nick Fuentes has been arrested and charged with battery, the Smoking Gun reports.

According to police documents obtained by the Smoking Gun, the 26-year-old Holocaust-denying Fuentes was arrested after a woman claimed that he maced her and shoved her to the ground outside of his house in Illinois.

"Marla Rose, a 57-year-old Berwyn resident, told cops that after seeing an online Fuentes post 'in regards to womenโ€™s rights' that declared, 'Your body my choice,' she decided to 'record a video' of Fuentesโ€™s Berwyn property. While recording, Rose said, a female passerby 'encouraged her to speak with Nicholas, so she...rang his front doorbell.'"

Upon ringing the bell, Fuentes emerged from the house an immediately sprayed her with pepper spray and then pushed her down the stairs.

The Biden administration has made a precedent-setting arrest related to anti-climate change activities this fiscal year, highlighted in a new report that shows a ramped-up enforcement effort against environmental offenses.

On
Thursday, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a final report on enforcement efforts under President Biden, which detailed how climate-related penalties were enforced this fiscal year.

The EPA worked to implement the American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act, which requires the agency to reduce hydrofluorocarbons, a synthetic compound commonly used for refrigeration or air conditioning, by 85% by 2036.

The AIM Act led to the arrest of Michael Hart, of San Diego, in March on charges related to "smuggling potent greenhouse gases," highlighted in the EPA report. The charges marked the first-ever greenhouse gas-related arrest issued under the AIM Act, but according to an EPA press release from earlier this year, "it will not be the last."

It is quite a simple dietary protocol, yet very effective - and the estblishment hated him for it.

Six Republican senators in a letter to National Institutes of Health Director Monica Bertagnolli said they are โ€œconcerned about the transparencyโ€ of studies funded by the NIH, the federal agency responsible for conducting and supporting medical research.

Their public statement of concern follows an October New York Times report that a long-awaited study of puberty-blocking drugs had gone unpublished over fears that its findings would be โ€œweaponizedโ€ by opponents of transition-related care for minors.

The letter is signed by GOP Sens. Bill Cassidy (La.), Tommy Tuberville (Ala.), Ted Cruz (Texas), James Lankford (Okla.), Markwayne Mullin (Okla.) and Mike Lee (Utah).

BREAKING: The manslaughter charges against Daniel Penny have been dismissed.

Daniel Penny opposes the dismissal as they're afraid it will cause a "compromised verdict" on the second charge. They say DA Alvin Bragg is coercing the jury to shift focus to the other charge, which fundamentally alters the case.

NEW๐Ÿ’ฅ: House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene have issued a directive for the Biden Administration to halt what they describe as attempts to "Trump-proof" the federal bureaucracy.

As President Biden's term nears its end, Comer and Greene accuse him of exploiting federal labor laws to bolster the authority of government workers and cement policies that were rebuffed by voters in the recent election.

They've sent letters to 24 federal departments, urging them to stop any ongoing or future collective bargaining negotiations with federal employee unions during the remaining time of the Biden-Harris presidency. Additionally, they are seeking details on these negotiations, communications with the White House, and statistics on current in-office work attendance within these agencies.

๐Ÿ”ฅPresident Trump reportedly has a plan to press ahead with mass deportations of illegal immigrants even if their home countries refuse to participate in the process.

NBC News reports that insiders say Trump will send illegals to Turks and Caicos, the Bahamas, Grenada, Panama or possibly elsewhere.

The move is designed to counteract a current trend of illegals simply being released back into the US after theyโ€™ve been ordered by a judge to be removed, purely because the governments where they came from refuse to facilitate their return.

For example, Venezuela, the second-highest source of illegal immigration into the US, stopped accepting deportation flights in February.

Since that time, untold numbers of Venezuelans have entered the country, including violent criminal gangs who have wreaked havoc in Aurora, Colorado among other places.

Trump may opt to attempt to strike a deal with Venezuela to accept deportation flights in return for a loosening of US sanctions on the country.

Or he may opt to send the flights elsewhere.

NYPD investigators found a backpack in Central Park that they believe belonged to the suspect in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, a law enforcement official told CNN.

Investigators have yet to officially confirm the origin of the bag and are taking it to be forensically tested in a lab in Queens, the source said.

The bag was found in a second sweep of the park Friday evening, between some boulders just south of the parkโ€™s carousel, the source said.

YouTuber Tim Pool's lawsuit against Kamala HQ, which represents and posts on behalf of Kamala Harris' presidential campaign on X, reached a successful conclusion on Friday. While the details of the settlement have not been made public, Pool posted that he was "satisfied" with the result along with a screen capture showing that the allegedly defaming post from Kamala HQ had been deleted. In his suit against the campaign, Pool had asked for a retraction: the deletion of the post is essentially that.

"The lawsuit between I, Tim Pool, and The Kamala Harris Campaign has been resolved to my satisfaction," he said. "Thank You." One of the things his suit against the campaign alleged was that he had suffered "reputational harm" at the hands of the Kamala campaign. The deletion of their post, while it does not fully repair that damage, reveals that the campaign has been made fully aware of their falsehood against Pool.

Alex Jones still must pay $1.3B Sandy Hook defamation verdict, appeals court rules

A Connecticut appeals court on Friday largely upheld a nearly $1.3 billion defamation verdict against conspiracy theorist Alex Jones in a case accusing the Infowars founder of spreading lies about the 2012 Sandy Hook mass shooting.

A three-judge panel of the Connecticut Appellate Court found that a juryโ€™s October 2022 decision to award $965 million in damages plus attorneys fees and costs to families of the shootingโ€™s victims was not unreasonable given the mental anguish they suffered due to the lies by Jones about Sandy Hook.

In affirming the verdict, the judges found fault only with a portion awarding $150 million in damages under a state unfair trade practices law, finding that should be thrown out because it did not properly apply to the facts of the case.
