1. This is actually legal but not right. Recall that the 13th amendment created a legalized form of slavery. Slavery is when a man is owned by another person. Experimenting with people without their consent is a form of slavery. 2. What assurances do we have that this technology isn't going to be mobilized against the American people in some ways that we can't guard against? How can the average taxpayer anticipate what's coming down the pike and petition their elected officials to ensure this technology doesn't become a threat?

Canada on Thursday announced a ban on 324 assault-style firearms in a continued effort for more stringent gun control.

Leaders in Canada also said that they are working with the government of Ukraine to see how the guns can be donated to support the fight against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“Every bit of assistance we can offer to the Ukrainians is one step toward their victory,” Defense Minister Bill Blair said.

The latest restriction, announced by Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc, also includes investments in border security in an effort to stop smuggling and trafficking, as well as strengthening firearms controls, and tougher penalties for gun traffickers.

Senior White House officials are reportedly considering issuing retired Gen. Mark Milley a pre-emptive pardon over fears that President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration will go after the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. 

The potential pardon for Milley, who was the nation’s highest-ranking military officer for part of Trump’s first term, was reported by the Washington Post Thursday.  

Milley, 66, faced intense scrutiny on Capitol Hill during President Biden’s first year in office after journalist Bob Woodward revealed that the Pentagon official placed secret phone calls to a top Chinese official before the 2020 election and after the Jan. 6. 2021, riot at the US Capitol.

Boston City Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson has been taken into federal custody, authorities announced Friday morning.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office of Massachusetts and FBI Boston confirmed that Fernandes Anderson was arrested on federal public corruption charges.

Fernandes Anderson, who represents Roxbury, Dorchester, and part of the South End, is charged with five counts of wire fraud and one count of theft concerning programs receiving federal funds, according to an 11-page federal indictment.

Melania Trump surprises military and first responder families live on F&F

New York City Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat who has taken a soft touch with President-elect Donald Trump, left open the possibility of switching to the Republican Party in a pair of Friday morning interviews.

Adams was a member of the GOP from 1995 through 2002, and was asked during an appearance on NY1 whether he would return to the party. He did not rule out the possibility.

“I’m a part of the American party,” he said in response. “I love this country.”


Asked to clarify his comments in a subsequent interview on PIX11, the big-city mayor again left open the question about his future political affiliation.

“No matter what party I’m on or vote on, I’m going to push for American values,” he said, arguing that officials need to move beyond parties altogether and work in concert to solve voters’ problems.

During a House Oversight Committee hearing about the U.S. Census Thursday, Chairman James Comer revealed population is being overcounted in areas that benefit Democrats -- ultimately skewing representation in Congress.

“In 2020, the Post-Enumeration Survey suggests that there were overcounts in New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Delaware, Minnesota, Utah, and Ohio. And there were undercounts in Texas, Florida, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Illinois," Comer said. “Six of the eight states benefiting from overcounts tended to favor Democrats in awarding congressional apportionment and electoral college votes."

“Meanwhile, five of the six states that were unfairly penalized by undercounts tended to vote for Republicans," he continued. “These miscounts had an impact on representation. Small numbers of proportional differences in population between states can impact the apportionment calculation. In the 2020 apportionment, a difference of only 89 people was the tipping point for New York being apportioned 26 seats instead of 27."

Further, illegal aliens are counted as part of the Census, which fought to keep a question about citizenship off of the 2020 survey.

Federal law enforcement has been manipulating the Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) system to gain access to Americans’ financial information without warrants or probable cause, the House Judiciary Committee said Friday.

The panel and its Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government released its interim report, first obtained by Fox News Digital, which details its findings.

The committee said in the report that the FBI "has manipulated" the SAR's filing process to treat financial institutions "as de facto arms of law enforcement, issuing ‘requests’ without legal process, that amount to demands for information related to certain persons or activities it considers ‘suspicious.'"

"With narrow exception, federal law does not permit law enforcement to inquire into financial institutions’ customer information without some form of legal process," the report states. "The FBI circumvents this process by tipping off financial institutions to ‘suspicious’ individuals and encouraging these institutions to file a SAR — which does not require any legal process — and thereby provide federal law enforcement with access to confidential and highly sensitive information."

The committee said that, in doing so, the FBI "gets around the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act," which specifies that it is a bank’s responsibility to file a SAR whenever it identifies a "suspicious transaction relevant to a possible violation of law or regulation."

The committee acknowledged that "at least one financial institution requested legal process from the FBI for information it was seeking," but noted that "all too often the FBI appeared to receive no pushback."
