Then, HR McMaster, of failed NSA infamy, came out and whined about Trump and how he wouldn't serve under Trump 47.

I say - THANK YOU for confirming none of you ever gave a damn about this country or anything other than extending the cocktail party another four years, and the wars into the indefinite future.

ICYMI: Speaker of the House Mike Johnson had to intervene to get former President Donald Trump into Arlington National Cemetery for the third anniversary of the Afghanistan withdrawal with Gold Star families, a family told the Daily Caller.

The Gold Star families, who lost their children during the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, invited Trump to Arlington National Cemetery. He laid a wreath there for the 13 servicemembers who were killed serving their country in Afghanistan. However, a Gold Star family told the Caller that Arlington National Cemetery was trying to make it difficult for the former President to appear for the ceremony to honor their children, something the families requested.

Arlington National Cemetery told Gold Star families that they could only be there for a specific time that did not work for everyone’s schedule and were also told the president could not join them at their children’s gravesites, the family told the Caller.

Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Rep. Michael McCaul explained to the Caller that he was contacted by Gold Star parents Darin Hoover and Kelly Barnett, the parents of SSGT Taylor Hoover. Hoover and Barnett told him that Arlington Cemetery was giving the Gold Star parents of the U.S. servicemembers killed at Abbey Gate a hard time about coordinating a ceremony with Trump on the anniversary of their deaths.

😆Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a two-time Republican presidential candidate, will now teach a class on political campaigns at Yale University.

Christie will teach a 15-person seminar for graduate and undergraduate students titled “How to Run a Political Campaign” at Yale this fall, according to a new report from Semafor. The class will look into the complexities of running a campaign in the 2020s.

“Political campaigns in the 2020s are becoming more technology dependent, more confusing and difficult from a communications perspective and even more fraught with pitfalls and personal challenges,” the class description reads.

“When deciding whether to run for any office, all of these issues must be confronted in addition to the core considerations of issue positions, fundraising and the most important question of all: If I do win, what do I want to accomplish and what kind of leader do I want to be?” the course description continues.

Telegram could face stricter EU digital rules as Brussels probes whether the popular messaging app — whose founder faces criminal charges in France — has more users in the bloc than claimed.

The platform was thrust into the spotlight after its chief Pavel Durov was arrested in France on Saturday. He has since been released on bail but cannot leave the country.

Durov is accused of failing to curb extremist and illegal content on the increasingly controversial platform, which has over 900 million followers.

Telegram had already been in the European Union’s crosshairs before the French criminal investigation. Senior EU officials have described Telegram as an “issue”.

But now independently of the French probe, the European Commission is investigating whether Telegram has the minimum number of users that would require it to comply with more stringent rules.

The EU’s focus is on the “social network” part of the platform, which has channels with hundreds of thousands of subscribers, and not on one-to-one messaging between contacts, like on WhatsApp or Signal.

“Otherwise, there will be a direct attempt to restrict freedom of communication. And we can even say direct intimidation of the head of a large company. Which means there will be politics involved, something that Mr. Macron denied yesterday,” Peskov said.

The Kremlin’s move to assuage concerns over the future safety of Telegram underscores how important the app has become to Russia’s military."

Migrants attempt to board school buses in East County

Two school bus routes within the Jamul-Dulzura Union School District have been briefly interrupted over the last two days after migrants attempted to board them, according to district officials.

In an emailed notice to families obtained by FOX 5/KUSI, Superintendent Liz Bystedt said a group of migrants attempted to board along the district’s A and B school bus routes.

The first incident occurred along the Route A route near the intersection of Highway 94 and Cochera Via Tuesday afternoon. According to Bystedt, a group of three men were walking in the middle of the highway trying to stop one of the buses, prompting it to “go around” the group.

Texas sued by environmental activist over ‘unconstitutional’ anti-ESG law

Texas was sued on Thursday by a nonprofit whose members support environmentally-friendly policies, and which seeks to block a state law targeting businesses that support reduced reliance on fossil fuels.

The American Sustainable Business Council said the 2021 law known as Senate Bill 13 violates members’ free speech rights by banning Texas from investing in or contracting with businesses that, in the state’s view, “boycott” the oil and gas industry.

Texas is the largest and among the most prominent Republican-led states to crack down on businesses whose environmental, social and governance (ESG) policies it dislikes. It is also easily the largest US oil producing state.
