- Moving ‘Remix’ for videos to Share menu: We’re moving the Remix button from below the main video player into the Share menu to help simplify the viewer experience and make it easier to navigate. To find Remix features, just tap the Share icon

- Channel guidelines now available globally: Creators can now set up to 3 channel guidelines to set the tone for their community. Guidelines appear to viewers across comments, live chat, and Community posts. Learn more.
Live streaming
- Practice streaming with Live Practice Mode: Live Practice Mode is a new feature rolling out to all creators on the YouTube mobile app. This feature gives creators a private space to rehearse your setup and content. - Suggested comments to heart feature: We’re adding a heart suggestions feature in the Studio mobile app. This feature identifies “heart-worthy” comments to help creators more easily show appreciation for viewers. Learn more.
Live streaming
- Live stream while playing YouTube Playables: Playables are now available as a mini-activity on mobile vertical live streams, making it easy to play games directly on YouTube while interacting with viewers. This feature is currently available in certain countries for select Playables. Learn more.

YouTube Studio
- Studio mobile app update: The Studio mobile app versions 24.04 and below will not be supported starting 23 February 2026. Download the latest version from the Play Store or App Store to continue using the app.

YouTube Shorts
- Trends page in Shorts launched globally: The Trends page in Shorts is now available to all creators. From the Shorts feed, press pause, then tap Trends at the top to find trending audio and inspiration for your next video personalized for you.
- Add motion to photos in Shorts: “Make me move” is a new feature for creating Shorts that uses AI to animate a photo of yourself to move like one of our preset movements. Pick a movement, like a Karate combo, upload a photo of yourself, and watch it turn into a Short. This feature is available globally in the YouTube app, excluding countries in the European Union and the UK. Learn more.
- Studio app OS requirement: The latest YouTube Studio app only works on Android 11.0 or higher and iOS 17 or higher. Learn how to update the Studio app.

YouTube Shorts
- Featured places in Shorts update: We’re adding featured places to Shorts, which uses both creator-tagged and auto-tagged locations to highlight key places in the description of your Short. This will help your content get discovered by viewers searching for Shorts about a specific location. You can adjust or opt-out of auto tagged locations in Studio. Learn more.
Community and comments
- Subscriber-only comments on videos: Creators can now limit comment posting on individual videos and Shorts to subscribers and paid channel members, previously available for live chat only. You can also set a minimum subscription time before a viewer can comment. This feature is designed to give creators more control over who can comment on their content. Learn more.
- Comment reply suggestions launched globally: AI-enhanced comment reply suggestions are now available to all creators. This feature provides suggestions in the style and tone of the creator’s channel to help make it easier for you to respond to comments from your audience. Learn more.
