If you are having a problem activating the YouTube Nonprofit program, you can select your issue below to troubleshoot.
Option 1: The YouTube channel you submitted does not match your organization
Make sure that you submit your organization’s YouTube channel inside your Google for Nonprofits account. The YouTube channel must clearly display a connection to your organization.
- Update your channel branding and details to reflect its connection to your organization, or add a direct link to the channel on your official nonprofit website.
- Sign in to your Google for Nonprofits account and resubmit your YouTube activation request.
Alternatively, you can create or select a different YouTube channel to submit for activation.
Option 2: You do not have a YouTube channel
Your organization must have an existing YouTube channel before you can activate the YouTube Nonprofit Program.
- Follow the steps in the YouTube channel creation guide to set up a channel for your organization.
- Once your channel is created, locate your YouTube channel ID.
- Sign in to your Google for Nonprofits account and enter your channel ID to request activation.
Option 3: You need to change the channel activated with the YouTube Nonprofit Program
If you need to change the YouTube channel linked to your YouTube Nonprofit Program, you can update your channel details directly inside your administrator portal.
- Sign in to your Google for Nonprofits account.
- Under the YouTube Nonprofit Program section, select Change channel ID.
- Enter your new channel ID and follow the on-screen prompts to finalize the transfer.
Option 4: You do not know where to find your YouTube Channel ID
Google for Nonprofits requires your unique YouTube channel ID to process your activation request.
