The melted material which is used in this method is often plastic and rubber, but it can be done with metals, glasses, and sweet foods. Because of the similarity of this method to injecting fluids using a syringe, this process is called injection molding.
Injection moulding is used to create many things such as wire spools, packaging, bottle caps, automotive parts and components, car accessories (floor mats[1]),toys, pocket combs ,it is ideal for producing high volumes of the same object.[2]
