Bunrei

Bunrei or wakemitama (分霊) is a Shinto term that means splitting a Shinto kami so that you can make another shrine for it.[1] Shrines do bunrei to bring their gods to "child" shrines elsewhere.[2] The spirit of the kami is not considered less important or weaker after bunrei.[3]

Bunrei helps believers worship the god more easily. Because they can have a shrine near where they live.
