The defender, who made ten appearances for Dale last season, has joined on an initial two-month deal.
Sassi is a product of Stoke City’s academy, where he departed to join Burnley as a scholar in 2020.
Whilst at Turf Moor, the 20-year-old impressed in their under-18s before moving up to the under-21s, where he played regularly in Premier League 2 and captained the side.
He joined Blackpool on a permanent deal earlier this year, before joining Dale on loan for the remainder of the campaign. In his ten appearances, of which six were starts, Dale were beaten just once.
Sassi will wear number 20 during his time at the club. We will catch up with him in the coming days.
