Is there a future for spirituality that only prays?

Spirituality that is "just praying"
Spirituality that is "just fortune-telling"

And
"it will work out somehow"and
spirituality that keeps waiting without doing anything

Surely all of them
"want to do something about the pain"
"want to find hope"
start from such a heart

But you know,
if you really want to head toward the future you desire

Beyond the prayer,
beyond the fortune-telling,
beyond what you have envisioned,

choosing for yourself
"what you can do in this very moment"
is more important than anything else, I think

Praying, fortune-telling, and having hope
all become "seeds" of the future
but they won't sprout with that alone

Move your hands
Try putting it into words
Try taking a step forward

Because you put life into small actions
those seeds can take root and grow toward the light

So that your prayers and thoughts
truly become reality

So that your one stepcreates the future

Don't let it end with just wishing
Spirituality that takes action,
starting from here and now.
