I'm a housewife in my 30s living in Tokyo, raising a 2-year-old and a newborn.👶👦
In this note, I plan to
share realistically based on my own experiences, "What can a housewife do while working from home?".
◆ From former high school teacher to a life centered on childcare
Actually, I was originally ahigh school math teacher.
I gave my all to both classes and club activities, and it was a job I loved. Especially with club guidance, I poured so much passion into it that balancing it with family life was, honestly, incredibly difficult...
Students are at school past 7 PM, so I couldn't just leave early as a teacher.
But I thought, "I don't want to do a half-hearted job with my students or my family."
As a result, I resigned when I gave birth, and now I am a "full-time" "mom."
◆ Honestly, what is it like to work from home?
When my youngest turned 3 months old, I started to have a little more free time, and I began to think,
"I don't want it to end like this," and "I want to earn even a little bit of my own income."
So, what I started through trial and error was...

◆ Isn't the hurdle for "working outside" too high?
Picking up from daycare, sudden fevers, the balance of housework and childcare.
I just want to "work outside a little," but am I the only one who finds it so hard to coordinate...?
That's how I feel.
Moreover, once you leave your career due to marriage or childbirth and become a
"housewife in her 30s with no skills," getting a full-time job is really difficult, isn't it?
That is exactly why I am challenging myself to "earn an income with my own power while staying at home."
