Three Keys to Happiness
Rest, good humor, and optimism
These are the three keys needed to live a happy life
Good morning. I am Yu, a counselor☀️
I work as a counselor supporting people with illnesses or disabilities, as well as their families.

To start, I have a question for you.
Are you currently carrying a heavy burden and feeling distressed?
When your heart feels heavy and you cannot wipe away your anxiety or sadness, it is okay not to force yourself to look forward.
First, please make resting your mind and body your top priority.
In this post, I will talk about the "three keys" you need to become happy.
By the time you finish reading this, your heart will surely feel lighter than it does now.

First, rest
When your "mind" is suffering, first let your "body" rest.
In fact, sadness and despair are not just problems of the mind.
In psychology, it is said that "there is a close relationship between the brain and the body."
If you stay still without moving, your blood circulation worsens.
As a result, your brain starts creating "reasons for unhappiness" on its own.
If you feel like you are being dragged into "negative thinking",
・Take a deep breath.
・Move your body a little.
・Try walking outside, even if just for a few minutes.
Let's try at least one of these.
It is not that "you move your body because you feel good."
Try thinking in the order of "your mind feels lighter because you move your body."

Take care of your own mood yourself.
【How I take care of my mood】
✅️Stretch while watching YouTube every morning.
✅️Take a 20-minute walk after work.
✅️Go to see the ocean on days when my mind and body are tired.
Negative thinking keeps happiness at a distance.
"Why am I so unhappy?"
Try taking a break from thinking that way for once.
When you feel bad, you tend to try hard to find the reason by asking "Why?" or "How come?"
As a result, your suffering may actually increase.
It is very difficult to control emotions through thought.
That is precisely why you should try not to get too deeply immersed in your current mood and instead keep a little distance from it.
・Try stretching to release tension in your body.
・Try gazing at the night sky.
・Try gazing blankly at the horizon.
Just by doing that, the narrow field of view of your mind should widen, and the tension inside your body should gradually begin to dissolve.
What is important here is the point of "going to take care of your own mood yourself."
If you try to get someone else to take care of your mood, you will almost certainly fail.
Expecting too much from others and feeling betrayed when things don't go your way only leads to stress.
The mature way to handle this is to avoid excessive expectations of others and take responsibility for your own mood.

Aim for optimism
Being optimistic is a matter of your own willpower.
Pessimistic feelings arise naturally without any effort on your part.
On the other hand, choosing to see the good in things is something you can decide to do through your own will.
It is okay if things are not solved immediately.
By simply deciding in your heart,
"I am going to be happy,"
you have already taken a big step forward.
The key point here is to "aim" for optimism.
I am not saying you must be positive with all your might.
Forcing it will not last.
The backlash will only cause you more stress.
Focusing on the good aspects of things in your daily life and being grateful for them, this will naturally transform you into an optimistic person.

Conclusion
Staying in a "good mood" is an act of kindness toward both yourself and the people around you.
・Eat something sweet
・Watch comedy content on YouTube
・Interact with animals
Please try to find a few ways that help you get into a good mood.
It might be difficult to force a smile when you are truly going through a hard time.
However, if you try to lift the corners of your mouth, even just as a gesture, your heart will strangely start to change little by little.

It might be difficult to turn everything into a habit all at once.
So, let's try just one thing today.
Which one will you choose?

She posts gentle articles that resonate with the pain in her readers' hearts.
When I read them, I also feel like, "I totally understand."
She sometimes gives me not just a "Like ♥️" but also a "comment" on my articles.
It is very encouraging. Thank you.
