[Shiba-Daimon, Minato-ku, Tokyo] Chuka Soba Shurai
I'm visiting 'Shurai,' a long-established shop with a classic neighborhood Chinese restaurant vibe founded in 1948, located about a 2-minute walk from Daimon Station, for lunch.

I suddenly remembered a post an acquaintance had made on Facebook, so I headed here! Arriving just after 12:00 PM, as expected of a popular shop, there was a line of about 5 people waiting in front.

While waiting in line, I did some research on Shurai and, after much deliberation, decided to order the 'Hand-pulled Gomoku Wonton Noodles (1080 yen).' After a while, I entered the shop and sat at the counter. Water is self-service.

And the long-awaited 'Hand-pulled Gomoku Wonton Noodles' have arrived! It looks appetizing, with plenty of vegetables (Chinese cabbage, greens, carrots, bean sprouts) and pork! A fried egg sits right in the center, and on the side, a cute narutomaki, a slice of chashu, nori, and a baby corn say hello in this visual feast.

Furthermore, inside, the wontons and chewy hand-pulled noodles are waiting.

The soup has a very gentle flavor. I think it's seasoned the same way as the tanmen, and it's really good. Adding pepper halfway through tightens the flavor and makes it even better.
I ate the chashu and wontons, and finished by devouring the fried egg. It was a very satisfying lunch.
