【Kobe Electric Railway】6500 series 6515F shortly after its debut in March 2026

The Kobe Electric Railway 6500 series began commercial operation in 2016.
On March 17, 2026, the 6515F, the eighth train set, was introduced.

I encountered it at Arima Onsen Station on March 27, so I took some photos.

A stainless steel train with three doors on each side.
Only the front part of the lead car is made of ordinary steel.

The exterior is almost identical to the 6000 series 2nd batch 6003F.

The pantograph is a single-arm type.

Wheelchair and stroller marks are displayed next to the doors.
The display of these wheelchair and stroller marks began with the 6515F.
Currently, the application of these marks to existing vehicles is also proceeding sequentially.

I have entered the train.
The interior is slightly different from previous 6500 series trains.

First, the priority seats and hand straps have been changed to orange.

Also, yellow warning stickers have been applied to the passenger doors.
Furthermore, an emergency communication device has been installed in the wheelchair space.

In-train security cameras, a first for Kobe Electric Railway, have been installed above the doors (three per car).

There are no security cameras above the doors on the side with the passenger information display.

The other parts are the same as the conventional 6500 series.

Unlike the 6000 series, the 6500 series adopted large end partitions.

Also, stanchion poles are installed on the end partitions and center partitions.

Three types of hanging straps are provided: high, medium, and low.

The sunshades are pull-down free-stop curtains.

New trains are certainly beautiful.

The only addition for the 2025 fiscal year was the 6515F trainset.
The 6517F is scheduled to be added in the 2026 fiscal year.
