I write this blog with the thought, "I want many people to empathize with the works that moved me."

Before introducing the work, here are some thoughts on a separate matter😊
I thought, 'Wait, there's an Amazon Audible version of a manga?'
So I tried listening to it↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓
I'd like to quickly share my thoughts on Audible＾＾

It's like listening to a rakugo performance in an empty theater, just like the old rakugo tapes I used to listen to.
I felt a strange sense of space, and I found myself listening while grinning (￣▽￣).
If someone saw me, they might say, 'That's creepy.'
And I feel a bit empty for clapping and laughing by myself halfway through (^▽^;)

I used to think Audible was for studious people who want to increase their knowledge
and listen to books because they don't have time to read...
but you can even listen to manga like this(excuse me (lol)). It was a surprise.

And, I started listening thinking it would just be the first volume, but oh no,
I can't stop. It looks like I'll go until the end, just like watching a drama.
If you try it,you will surely understand the meaning of the "rhythm" (^▽^;)

Synopsis

The original work is a popular comic with a simple premise: two high school boys speaking Kansai dialect just hanging out and chatting after school.
It is popular for the humor of the cynical conversation drama they unfold.
A live-action film adaptation of the popular manga by Kazuya Konomoto (lol).

There is no plot to speak of.

Impressions

To be frank... it is extremely funny (so it is funny).
Unexpectedly funny. It's as funny as watching a stand-up comedy routine (so it is funny).

I thought it would be more serious, so I was caught off guard.
It's much funnier than watching a bad stand-up routine.
It feels like the casting was a success.

Two rising young actors are appearing as a duo here as well,
but since the situation is completely different from their other works,
you will be able to see a different kind of charm!


It's just a movie about two high school boys with time on their hands killing time by just chatting,
but that's all it is.

Is this allowed?I thought to myself while laughing out loud,
This is allowed!I found myself strangely convinced ^^
While thinking, 'Do high school students really have conversations like this?'
I convinced myself they were just slightly mature high school students... and watched it.

Conclusion

I felt such a sense of familiarity with this work that I even found myself thinking about trivial things like, "I wonder if this cost almost nothing to produce?"

You could easily find high school students like this around, right?
It feels like something you could even produce on YouTube.

If I ever saw a scene like this,"pointless chatter" I'd probably think, "Are they having some..." and start laughing to myself again ^^
As a movie, it has absolutely no narrative structure,


but since each story is connected little by little,
it feels like watching a short feature drama.

Since it's directed by the director of Mahoro Station, there are parts that remind me of it somehow (lol). *Was that a forced connection? Parts? (lol)

Perhaps because of the Kansai regional character,
"divorce","death of a pet","elderly wandering","no dinner" and so on,
there are actually quite heavy themes if you think about them,
but I wonder why... they don't feel heavy at all ^^
The exquisite timing of the conversation keeps it from getting heavy.

If they spoke without any pauses, it wouldn't be funny at all, so
"timing" is really important, isn't it? It's like a conversation of silences (^^)/~~~

Usually, I post my impressions by rambling about what the work is trying to convey,
but this time, I didn't feel anything important,

it's just packed with elements that make you laugh.

The character count is too low, so I'm trying hard to write my impressions.
Even though there's nothing to write about... I'm trying to increase the character count somehow...


But, since you can feel the forced attempt to fill the space,
I'll stop here (lol).

This time, it was an impression that wasn't really an impression,
but for now, please watch the two of them perform their skit (;^ω^)
