Time's post for October 7th: My eldest daughter, a beginner driver, drove us today, and even though I was just in the passenger seat the whole time, for some reason I'm exhausted😅

Good morning☀ It's Time😊 It's the second day of my two-day break✨ When I don't have work, I can finally focus on things around the house. I'm all fired up to repot the succulents that are growing out of their pots starting right now😆

Yesterday, I went for a drive with my eldest daughter, who just got her license at the end of September🚘

After I finished writing this blog post, the place I chose for our drive was

Akan✨ I want a marimo, you see😆

It's about a two-hour drive one way. It wouldn't be impossible to go if we left in the afternoon. I told my eldest daughter about my marimo fever and asked her what she thought.

I don't need a marimo🤨

It was rejected immediately💦 To me, who kept making noise next to her about marimo, marimo,

Even if we were going from the morning, it's already 1:00 PM🤨 I said anywhere was fine, but I don't want to drive just for the sake of a marimo🤨

That's certainly true😅 Since my eldest daughter is the star, it won't work unless it's a place she wants to go. I'll just go get the marimo by myself.

Then, how about Cape Erimo?

I haven't been there in decades, and my eldest daughter has never been. I wondered if she'd bite, but then

I want to drive the whole round trip by myself, you know🤨 Cape Erimo is a place I've never been to, and I just feel like I'd be burned out just getting there🤨

That is a perfectly reasonable opinion😳 I see, I see, she's particular about driving the whole round trip by herself. In that case, maybe a place that feels like we've arrived in no time would be better🤔

Have you ever been to the new Kamishihoro roadside station?

It's a new roadside station that opened in 2020. The website showed a sparkling, glass-walled roadside station with a sense of openness.

2020? Oh, I was a second-year high school student then. I was busy at that time, so I've never been there🤔

It was decided easily💓 And so, we drove along the back roads and arrived in no time✨

It was a very beautiful roadside station, and there were measures taken everywhere inside to avoid crowding. It was cloudy and a bit cold, but both my eldest daughter and I were very satisfied😆

Now, just as we were about to head home, I was checking Instagram messages in the passenger seat. I had planned to go pick up some succulents I ordered on the 7th, but the other party said it was inconvenient😅 They messaged me saying they would be there all day on the 6th.

Eldest daughter, I want to go pick up some succulents, will you drive?

Starting from Kamishihoro, it's a place that takes an hour and a half to reach. We had to keep driving in the exact opposite direction😅

It's fine, don't worry about it😊 We've been to that place before, right?😊

Since my eldest daughter had been there before, she seemed to have an easier time picturing it. We decided to head out right away, but I got really sleepy and started dozing off😪

If the person in the passenger seat falls asleep, I get sleepy too! Don't sleep!

While being scolded and encouraged by my eldest daughter who kept driving, we somehow arrived. We picked up some succulents, did some shopping at a nearby supermarket, and got home at 5:00 PM.

I'm somehow exhausted💦

I didn't drive at all, and my eldest daughter's driving was quite stable, so there was almost nothing to worry about. Yet, I'm exhausted😅 When I told her that,

Since I started driving, I realized that just being in a car is tiring. I have nothing but respect for people like the Kuroneko Yamato drivers and truck drivers now😊

Until now, I was the only one who drove, so I thought I was tired because I was the one driving, but is it tiring just to be a passenger?😳 That might actually be true🤔

I'm going to stop pushing myself when I go for drives from now on😅

You can go anywhere endlessly by car, but your body gets quite tired. Thinking about that, I reaffirmed that I shouldn't do anything too reckless.
