Today, I am introducing an article by Lapis-san.

Even when told 'this AI is amazing,' some people can't believe it without seeing it with their own eyes. This is the episode where Lapis-san verifies the reasoning power of Claude Opus 4.5 through two experiments.

Experiment 1 is creating a Christmas date plan.

It's not just a simple request. The high resolution of the 'useless boyfriend' setting—directionally challenged, indecisive, sensitive to cold, hasn't made reservations, gets grumpy if walking more than 15 minutes, and loses HP in crowds or lines—is the first highlight 🌿

The first answer had a tragedy where the main event ended on 12/21 (even though it's a Christmas date).

But when they had it redone, it included lunch candidates that didn't require reservations, a third option for crowd control, and even a thoughtful touch of preparing a PDF saying 'take this paper' without even being asked.

Experiment 2 is fixing a nasty Python bug planted by ChatGPT 5.2.

The human-like quality of noticing another mistake while in the middle of fixing one, and starting to correct it while muttering 'I see.' Even so, the first human check resulted in '...You didn't fix it!!'

By the second attempt, all errors were resolved, even including a harsh passing grade from the ChatGPT boss: 'Well, it's a bit inefficient, but... it'll do.' The verification process, which doesn't just show success, is solid as always 💫

The concluding sentence was sincere.

'It seems that Claude cannot utilize his strengths unless you ask him quite properly (give instructions via prompts).'

Not talking about AI in a binary of amazing/useless, but concluding it as a matter of how to interact with it. I think this sense of distance is the beauty of Lapis-san's verification series.
