Subject Pass and Reflection
Hello.
I'm YUL, now Trudeau, studying to become a Small and Medium Enterprise Management Consultant.
Well, the results for the first stage of the Small and Medium Enterprise Management Consultant exam were announced on September 3rd.
Actually, I had a slim chance of passing just the Operations Management subject...
There were about 4 questions that I marked as laterand just filled in randomly, but I didn't have time to review them, so I didn't remember what I had marked.
I reached September 3rd in a state where I would pass if even one of those was correct.
I went to the website near noon on September 3rd, and when I checked the pass announcement page for Operations Management first...
My number was there! 😭😭😭
Since I was at the office, I immediately rushed into an empty meeting room and did a victory dance while shouting! (It would be mortifying if someone saw me)

In the end, there were some invalid questions, so I passed at that point, but those 4 questions I filled in randomly weren't among the invalid ones, so if I got them all right, that means I scored close to 70 points!

I think I might not apply for an exemption for Operations Management next year, keep it as a strong subject, aim for over 90 points (lol), and use it to compensate for my other weak subjects.(-> This is just wishful thinking and bold talk that I can only afford now because I have some breathing room)
---Reflection---
Looking back, the reason for my failure this year was spending too much time on input.
The other day at a TAC drinking party, I talked to someone who was expected to pass the first stage, and they said,
I started solving past exam questions quite early, and in the end, I went through them about 5 times.
As for me, even in May, I was still scouring YouTube looking for lectures that were easier to understand (than TAC's).
I realized I was in big trouble in June, so I focused on selection and concentration, and I didn't do any past questions for the subjects I gave up on at that point. So that's why it didn't work out.
So, for next time, my strategy is to finish the input quickly and focus on output.
On the day of the results announcement, a small 'Congratulations on passing even just one subject' party was held, and we had samgyeopsal at an authentic Korean home-cooking restaurant where Korean was being spoken all around.

I forgot I had a dentist appointment the next day...
I properly told the hygienist, 'I'm sorry I smell like garlic 🙏'.
