Tohoku Branch Public Painting Study Session @ Hachinohe Art Museum

The public painting study session hosted by the Tokokai Tohoku Branch, which has been held since 2023, will take place on Wednesday, February 28th, starting at 1:00 PM in the Giant Room of the Hachinohe Art Museum.

The Hachinohe Art Museum has a very open design, and the Giant Room is located in an open space right after you enter the entrance.

As the name "public" suggests, the study session held in the Giant Room is open to local residents and museum visitors.

Participants bring in two-dimensional works of various sizes and work on refining their pieces under the guidance of Keisuke Takada, the Tohoku Branch Manager (Associate Member of the Nitten Exhibition, Standing Juror of Tokokai).

The study session is open to the general public as well as Tokokai members and associates, and those who wish to do so can receive guidance.

Listening to critiques of other people's work is very stimulating, so if you are interested, please come and visit.

This public study session was started as an activity aimed at contributing to the promotion of local art.

From 2023 to 2024, it will be held a total of five times in August, September, October, February, and March (participation fee is 1,000 yen for venue costs, regardless of the number of times you participate per year).

I hear that since they started holding these public study sessions, there has been a positive response, and the number of participants has been increasing.

The field of painting was hit hard by COVID-19 and various other factors, but it would be great if local art activities could continue to flourish like this.
